Strings for Parlour size Acoustic Bass

Has anyone tried Gold Tone/LaBella MBLS flats on the Ibanez? The scale length is supposedly the same. But customer support at Gold Tone suspects that they will not intonate properly without an adjustable saddle? I tried the Aquila Flat Spirals, which I have in a shorter version on an U-bass. I love those strings, but the 24" version is an inch or two too short. The silk winding starts around the 1st fret.
