i bought a used Wounded Paw 4-channel mlender on here a few weeks ago, as i had too many noise issues using two LS-2's. it's a great bit of kit, with the added bonus of 4 different colured LEDs (how cute is that ? )
So is the price of the B3K, yet they still seem to be selling plenty of those!
the b3k is worth at least 3 overdrives.

just bought an ODB-3 from Topo Morto Ivan does the business, and promptly !

pedal-wise the Markbass Compressore has a lot of the relevant functions, but in reality, something with metering would be more useful.
Mu-Tron, OC-2 & Brown Dog with one press for a synthy sound and then use the other loop for turning on the Multi-Comp for slap sections or blending a clean tone with the Super Synth. Too much tap dancing before I put the LS-2 on the board!
if you can deal with the fiddliness of the interface, the Octavius Squeezer would substitute as a good one-pedal solution to those two. the fuzz and filter combinations are excellent, and very versatile. (Agent Funk and Brown Dog). i'm still endeavouring with the synth side (and octave), but it's slow going.. -
Overdrive: Darkglass B7K, best preamp/od ever.
/envy/ next on the list. i have a b3k already one one board, but also want a one-pedal solution for the punk band..

OD - budget ? - Ashdown Lames Lomenzo, or pure quality !! - Darkglass B3k
You don't. Not truly anyway. I get close but using neck pup, slight boost of mids, finger the string over the 12-15th fret gently (so there is no attack over the pickups). This works great for me. Hopefully my description makes sense. Not sure any effects will do it. I'll move this to Theory & Technique unless someone things of a pedal solution. Shep
bit of subtle chorus too maybe,.. for that slightly detuned feel
They are fun... Shits me up with all the beer flying about though and all the gear
how about a perspex sheet the same size as the board angled at 45 degrees in front of it ? .. although you'd have to orientate your position , by facing the front, and maybe not facing John.. -

lxxwj, hate to say it, but you're getting your nob out in front of a porn-star .. edit: apologies, i like to hear reasoning about fx, so it's all education to me too !
Anyone tried Devi Ever stuff on bass? I bought a Vintage Fuzz Master for guitar but it doesn't suit my delicate jazz chords.
yep. tried the 'bit - legend of fuzz' an 8-bit fuzz/scrambler. it is bonkers, but had to move it on as i wasn't getting enough use out of it. i still have Shep's old Soda-Meiser (with chaos switch). it sucks a bit of low-end, but i love it, and still use it. - keeper ! i haven't tried any of the bass specific ones yet. the thing about Devi's pedals are that they are unpredictable but capable of awesome noises. probably best for studio/home recording rather than live stuff, as the gain structure on the ones i've tried are crazy, so getting the right setting is hit and miss. i do like them though !

take a good long look at Mr.Excane's demos (scroll down a bit......). i'm after a Depth Charge, myself, but no luck so far. i've tried many, some gated, some not. depends what you like, smooth and furry, or aggressive and hairy ? link - http://basschat.co.uk/topic/138296-my-pedal-demo-video-collection-free-pedal-giveaway/

Harry just sold me his Wounded Paw super blender. not only did he wait patiently for me to get the funds together, he posted promptly, packaged it immaculately, and has offered continuing support and advice in the utilisation of this fine beast of a pedal. all around 11/10 for that man. trade with full confidence !!
The whole world needs a new direction. We're all obsessed with getting as much stuff as we can. Put a limit on the amount of stuff people can have then once they've got that much stuff they'll have to find something else to do.
pretty sure that'll be the case soon enough, once the financial system melts down.
