1.
I got fairly big sound anyway as I just want to fill out the sound spectrum further. But I may just try out some of the weird more dominant effects as well just to mix things up a bit!! I think Im just gonna try to figure out the korg multi effects we have kicking around and see what I can do!! Im still thinking a reverb or delay could sound really cool with a few of my bass lines where I dont have accompaniment so I have arranged to steal my guitarists to try it out!! Defiantly gonna give a octave pedal a try out though!! Cheers
i can thoroughly recommend the source audio bass envelope filter. loads of awesome sounds for not much cash. 2. , try swapping hands, helps with independence.
3.
No, she's away at the moment
keep a lydian on it.
4. you need this in your life. trust me.
5. so it's not about hiding your bass in the loft to give it vintage appeal whilst you get progressively younger..
6. Debbie could certainly be my Boss.
7.
Surprise your wife with a new pedal for the weekend!
f@@@ing lol. wives seem to hate pedals, but ironically love their shoes. Bump for your sale.
8. both of the above.
9. grateful for the electronics thread for introducing me to some no-nonsense/no-bullshit funky electro hip-hop with real bass. credit will be due, when i sober up. do have a quick listen though (preferrably at volume) , it kicks.
10. a Boss LS-2 will cover your options. new about £70-80. used £40-50. ( hope that is what you meant ). the amps fx loop is possible, but high gain in the loop can yield problems.
11. dorian and lydia, had 'em both. pretentious, the pair of 'em.
12. keep the blowtorch anyway. it does what it does brilliantly. stick an OC-2 in front of it and an envelope filter after it. voila un synth. try a blendable distortion pedal like the ashdown, or a mental fuzz like a devi-ever and a boss ls-2.
13. just got Nige's SR-16. well packaged and in immaculate condition. top man !
14.
Herbie Hancock - Headhunters. Is this considered jazz? I'd be suprised if it is because I quite like most of it
i'd call it original funk (with a bit of jazz for good measure). fantastic l.p.
15.
High Gain Demo's I recorded some super high gain pedal demos for you guys - went a little crazy with the Okko. You can watch them all here on my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MrExcane I will be adding my 2 custom overdrives that I built hopefully by the weekend. I have a few more new boxes coming in, but you'll have to wait to see what they are
awesome. nice playing too.. how many of these do/can you make ? and at what price ?
16. also, if you've eliminated all of the other options regarding power supply, try testing out your leads and bass input. you never know...
17.
Nice. Anyone know of something similar that will power 12V? Those pesky Markbass pedals....
my old compressore worked on a Diago based 9V daisy-chain o.k. but i hear that the super-synth and the dostortore need 12V..
18. bastard. gig cancelled due to lack of ticket sales. money refunded at the venue, but gutted all the same. to name and shame the venue, it was SUB-91 in Leicester. they didn't even bother to put a sign out saying 'gig cancelled' or similar. tossers. i think they're part of the 'walkabout' chain of Australian-run pubs. complete cowboys.
19.
Excuse my ignorance - I'm more drummer than guitarist - but how do I do that? Do certain pedals have a bypass out as well as an effects out, and then you patch both together? Or do you mean just DI and mic the amp when gigging?
no excuse necessary. a boss LS-2 or sfx S&M pedal will do the job. essentially they're two channel mixers in a pedal format. just blend your clean and effected signals to the desired level.
20.
don't have nightmares kids.
o.k. you definitely win. diamanda galas is all i got.. but that would be a falsetto bluff.
