honest ? it's good metal. all solid. but............... you need a better singer though (no disrespect). your bass-playing is the best i've heard for an 'amateur'. you're like Robert Trujillo. completely wasted in Metallica. persuade your band to get a better vocalist. (i appreciate that it's not easy). or.. do more funk/metal stuff like infectious grooves to match your ability. this is only my personal opinion, and counts for nothing. you are awesome, and i wish i had your ability. btw.. the drumming and guitar work is excellent aswell. it's just the vocals that don't quite 'cut it' si.

another great punk bass sound very similar to jj can be found here. i think he uses marshall 12" guitar cabs too. again, i reckon it's mids that need attention, rather than bass/treble.

Jam[/quote] i always used to think that too, but experience has taught me that you can easily get lost in the mix like that. although mids might sound slightly abrasive when playing on your own, when everyone else plays it's a different story, they 'cut through' more.

probably sounds silly, but maybe the right->left is a Japanese thing ? Boss being the major player and all..
