8.
I mean no disrespect but i for one have never heard of Bongo basses? I thought it was a thread about the fruit drink! Who makes them? ps: you need some better pics to show it off to its best, not phone taken ones.
Musicman. aesthetically, they are an acquired taste. i like them, some don't. great tonal options, i'd say £750 is a pretty good price.
 9. hi, mine is still in the for sale section. cancel your order if you fancy saving a few quid. £100 posted. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;hl=red+ripper it's a cool pedal, but i have too many other options which yield similar results. PM me if you're interested. and cheers Shep !
 10. how about a trade ? your money for my GAS ?
 11. and the lesson is.. don't always presume your perception of events is 100% accurate. and don't slag people off in public until you are certain.
 12. low-frequency murderer for me.
 13.
Mine's pretty straightforward. Sticking to one brand makes it a piece of cake to assemble the board!
neat., but don't you find better results with the octave pedal nearer to the beginning of the chain ?
 14. aaah, you need to use floating-tongue technique.
 15.
There are things we know about human biology and psyche. We know that people see colours differently, people appreciate different paintings and women can discriminate more colours than men, some people are colour blind. We know people like different foods and have different tastes, some can stand very hot chillies others only like beef and Yorkshire pudding. We also know that people hear differently, some people have different levels of deafness, we all like different tunes, some people have perfect pitch and others are tone deaf. Women listen to the words/singer, men listen to the music. Drummers listen to the drums, bassists listen to the bass, the best musicians can hear the whole band at once. So why the obsession with 'my tone'? You are the only one who hears it that way. You can't describe it in words to a sound-man. No measuring equipment in the world can measure it to reproduce it. The environment plays a huge part in its reproduction so it doesn't matter how much you spend on your gear when you walk into that dodgy pub with the low beams it just won't work. Buy something that sounds good and concentrate on the notes. Or am I alone here.
can't argue with that.
 16.
Don't use anything at all and can't see me needing them in the future.
in that case, may i have the swollen pickle in your sig..?
 17. punk ,rock etc. - tube overdrive, distortion funk, - not much, very occasional wah, maybe compression for slap. reggae/dub - nothing (except heavy on bass eq) or occasional octave. d'n'b dubstep - absolutely everything. blended synth, fuzz, octave, ring mod, whatever works
 18.
most musicians I know are capitalist hippies
or chippy-choppers ?
 19. probably getting on for 25 years old. way ahead of their time. and soon to be releasing new material.
 20.
You sound like you look like, like, a fascist.... man.
he's the ex-bassist from Smeg and the Heads. he's like a total crypto-fascist, man.
