1.
The story of the guy in the driveway sounds so unreal to me that i was already thinking the driver might've stole it himself as i had to put the value of the package on the delivery papers and if he's a dishonest person it would be easy for him to make it disappear and try to make some money out of it...
probably the best assumption.

5.
Sick as.
was this the inspiration for 'superfreak' ? i'm uneducated in these matters..
6. payday bump.
7. lest we forget rob t's earlier contributions..
8. shame you have to give that gig up Nick, you were awesome. hope the 'op' goes smoothly.
9. what bass/amp set up do you run ? these are not e.q. pedals as such, but will make small amps sound more dynamic. hartke vxl - excellent di pedal, with bass and treble controls and hartkes own sweepable tone-shape circuit. aphex bass exciter - another budget di with low/high boost. makes a practise amp sound like a bigger rig. both will help beef up your sound, and are suitable for active and passive basses.
10. i knew i'd be seeing that cracking pic again.. it won't be long before people ask to buy these off you as avatars
11. the options i'm thinking of, like the carl martin octaswitch are too expensive. if you have a more simple set-up, then an ls-2 (or 2 perhaps?) could be appropriate. set the pedals up behind the amp, and switch between fx loops with the line selector(s). otherwise try the JJB method and learn martial arts.
12. anything by infectious grooves goes without saying. also the rollins band for me, the old stuff with andy weiss on bass was killer, but also later stuff with melvyn gibbs (ex-defunct) also great.
13. guaranteed to cheer anyone up on a winters' day.
14.
@phil same amp as mine, how do you find it with those cabs?
err.. contentious question, but firstly, extremely clear and loud, ..but too clean for the type of music i like, so i rely on a few dirt pedals to get the cabs rumbling at the right frequencies. although the tube channel goes have a bit of grit, it doesn't seem to get warm enough for me. - personal taste is everything !! so i use a hartke vxl & extra fx in the fet channel, and an mxr-80 in the tube channel. when i get around to the synth stuff i'll have a rethink. these amps are so versatile, it's not easy to decide what works best !! edit.. oh yeah, sorry, the cabs.. they can handle too much volume for human ears. get earplugs. ...and laugh at your guitarist knowing that he's going to have to turn it down before you do....
15.
Any offers what so ever?
mm-4 for tech-21 red ripper ?
16. there's some fantastic funk playing on that. we used to do a very messy medley of tunes off JCS (the l.p.) i think it's more to do with the band involved, rather than andrew-lloyd-webber though. groove vs theory perhaps ? tee hee..(runs away).. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3LM2iQ8p7A and a few minutes into this is awesome.. 17.
I'm not up on what will effect just upper mids & treble but I can highly recommend the MXR M80 DI+ It sits in a band mix very well and there's loads of Rock & Metal players using them...
+1 on the m-80. i also love the hartke vxl for OD. mild od>mxr blowtorch is fun (or indeed any blendable fuzz). a split/mix pedal might be a good idea, one like the sfx job.. i'll look it up. edit http://www.sfxsound.co.uk/mainpage.asp?page=sm
