1.
You should try the RBX375 with the humbucking pickups. G.
rbx374 does have twin humbuckers, the 375 is a 374 bur with 5 strings....appologies if thats already what you meant....just for clarification. my first bass was a brand new rbx374...looking back it was all the bass i ever needed....active, georgeous neck lovely cast bridge, snoooth as tuners and great build...GAS is a terrible thing...i'll no doubt gi full circle and buy another!
2. I find that the quality of the bass is dictated by the final quality of the set up...what do i mean? Well in my experience a poorly built bass just cant be made to play with a good action....price doesnt seem to matter as much as i thought when i first started noodling around....every yamaha ive ever owned or fiddled with has been a very well built bass indeed and could take a lovely low action.
3. Hi guys, can anyone here help with collection of a bass from Montrose, vendor can't post for some reason? Any help very welcome
4. thanks guys for the help.
5. Never really 'got Pink Floyd even though I grew with my older brother blasting it the bedroom walls when I was young, so as with the Beatles I've discovered them quite late. What should I be listening to? So far I've been noodling along to: Breathe, Shine On, Wish You Here, Comfortably, Money. I actually find the timing quite tough on some of them, due I think to the slowness and lack of notes being played as I like a busy line.
6. Plus 1 great with maple necks and look better in the flesh...i thought they were 2011 ltd edt builds?
7. Forgot to add....from the film risky business! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjPGmSqadxM&feature=youtube_gdata_player ....and tenuous connection....Vinny Shillito who played bass for the ozrics bought a Volvo 850 off me....spent 10 mins doing the deal and hours letting him noodle on my bass collection....very good player indeed.
8. Tangerine dream.....love on a train....top track!
9. Love the colour on that precision standard special....british racing or sherwood forest green?....standard model too rather than affinity, I've just bought an Antique burst example and love mine .GLWTS
10. didn't the Mark Hoppus have a P bass pup, no j at all? More a P with a jazz body
11. I have an Aria STB-JB which is a jazz bass with good size p bass neck on it, they can be had for £150'ish...do they play like a cheap bass? A big fat no...super hot pups, great build, lovely finish, what not to like! Mine is a 3TS and rosewood, black ones also around, there is also an active version too n white. 17. thanks guys, I just found the sheet music and it describes it as in D major? a 4-1-5 (IV-I-V) http://www.musicnote...p?ppn=MN0069552
18. Cheers enjoy that coffee...the answers most likely my theory is lacking!
19. So lucky man goes something. like G D Asus4 in G, which to me with my well known lack of theory would make it a 1,5,2 chord progression. I googled 1,5,2 chord progressions and nothing came up....not even examples by those chordal funsters the Beatles. what have i misunderstood....i understand that the Asus4 has no 3rd so is neither major or minor....or diminished come to think of it.
20. Nice price...yet another scam?....been quite a few lately.
21. Sad news indeed....couldn't get it right was one of the first singles i ever bought....bit of my youth has gone forever :-(
22. Ahh, cheers for that.
23. I've noticed the pups on that Stagg, unusual config'
24. I've always liked V guitars and bass from a distance, never owned or played one though, Stagg do good looking one too, more of a Fenderesque head. ...have you seen the price of s/h Epiphone Flying V's lately!
25. I dunno, I quite like that choon, sorta grew on me. can't more air geeeeetar than a Flying V & P bass combo'....or more 70's than this fashion statement! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lu_IB__bgJk
