1. I bought myself a peavey combo after being recommended by friends, and am real impressed, had a go on an active 4 string (bxp?) And was blown away, lovely thing to play and flawless build.... ....I see peavey amps, pa and basses regularly here, used by very capable live bands, and it always impresses, but seems a little unfashionable elsewhere....I got to ask why? I can't see any downsides and it seems to me these Norfolk boys are very canny buyers. I'm sure I seem to remember peavey being very common in eighties?
2. Runaway J Kay...the run down from d# to a# ooooh no, I try it both ways and my pinkies just aren't quick enough to make it sound sweet! ....bloody mobile keyboard!
3. wow, a maple neck too , if it plays half as well as mine type bump for ya ....for a cheap bass these really are very, very good and so very playable ....I never knew they did they did a maple neck...bugger....did I mention the maple neck?
4. A high c? Just asking not up on olp's
5. Luverly bass, supersweet necks bump

7. there ya go told ya so! Ahh disco! Gotta love that low B at the end too
8. Been noodling some boney m today, some good lines, anyone know whom did the original playing?
9. Just bought a Stingray from 5thread, easy smooth transaction, good coms, arranged delivery for me, 100% item description, if anything under-described and better than the ad'..... she's great nice one cheers
10. I have a TNT115BW, this a proper combo at practice amp money, and yes they certainly are built like brick crap houses! At this money, I reckon you could buy this, bung it on fleabay and have a drink out of it type bump!
11. going anywhere near Diss/Thetford/Snetterton way soon?
12.
I've had two of the Classic Vibe Jazz basses in white. Beautiful instruments for the money they cost, really superb budget basses. I have absolutely no need for them, so I sold them both but they were great. They are head and shoulders above the Vintage Modified stuff.
the one I played wasn't , they are certainly different takes on Fender Jazz's, but a CVJ better than a VMJ better.... I wouldn't say so, they are both very good for the money.
13. P bass.....but in the sonic blue, far nicer than that cat sick pink!
14. I hope you both mean 'by' the bog!?! I also hope they are better than the newer car manuals, the one for a jeep Xj, I can only think the titles got switched for a space shuttle it's that bad, older ones were quite good
15. I'm always amazed at how few bands there are doing hard funk 'n disco covers or original stuff, I would have thought they have been very a busy band, go to any 'do' with a DJ and as soon as Le Freak, Disco Inferno or suchlike comes on the everyones up and smiling......my mate did tell me that you need to be good musicions to do funk/disco, he maybe biased though being a Soul/Stax fan ....Jay Kay found a hole that shouldn't of been there in the first place. ....there is a localish band called 'Kilimanjambo' (could be wrong spelling) and they certainly got a funky spark and are very popular, apart from them not much else its all folk, bluegrass, blues, old rock, good bands and I like to watch but if only.... ....my rant done and dusted
16. these boys certainly got the funk for me this is wonderful playing dry and off the cuff so to speak, some great bass lines come to life here with just a lead and a bass in this guys 'parlour', ....such a shame both Mark adams and Drac Hicks have passed, I'll have no hero's left here soon. Watching you, Stone jam,
17. same reason we have more than 1 string, varity I can see the logic in lots of bass, but some common place items I can't...take earlobes for example....totally redundant....
18. green/maple fretboard needs to be ordered
19. Just had a reply back from the vendors, yes, they do these with maple necks.... bugger, just when I found a Yamaha Attitude 'n all

21. Anything looks good in Surf Green and these are no exception http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Sterling-Ernie-Ball-Musicman-Stingray-Classic-/260879220434?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3cbd9cfed2
22. The beater arrived Tuesday, very well boxed up, made in Vietnam. Tweaked truss rod, lowered the string heights, took bit out of the e and a nut slots, picato flats the original rounds were fine, and hey presto this thing sings, nice smooth dark tone with those flats. Good neck, buzzfree low action, very playable can handle runaway jamiroquai, looks good too, pups surprisingly hot. Took off the scratch plate to fit a mim one (wont fit) and body is a hi tech multiple layer composite construction, or plywood to you and me, tuners have lots o slack but to honest fa 75 sheets new and delivered I'm being picky, I mean, she's got a far better neck/body fit than custom Stingray with matching headstock so there you are, more than happy and for less money than 2 sets of Ernie ball flats, and if she gets runover, although not the end of the world, I'll be quite dissapointed now, she does play well....no comparrison to the Nevada 'bass' in the workshop now
23. cheers guys
