1. this looks the same bass as the Nevada bass I was given but with a different name. ...the neck on the Nevada moves alarmingly too, an inch or so if you push on the head with a finger, although the tuning stays OK, but we couldn't get the action lower than something a limbo dancer could get under even with saddles on the deck and bottomed out, even tried packing the neck with sandpaper like a 70's Fender good to see these are better... I'd love to pull the trigger too but I think I'll see how this thread goes for a week or so....maybe there is a cheap bass god afterall?

 3.
Have a good read through this link, by the time you've read it all you'll be an expert. 5. £130...oops, bargain methinks!
 6. Great rehersal/small gig/pub/club etc or practice amp if you like it loud and the neighbours don't mind, or, as a professional bass playing friend found, can also be used as a stand in amp for a small venue when your £1k rig goes u/s...only once mind! Obvious Hartke quality too, lovely build and performs way over what seems to be a very conservative 90 watt RMS rating (or the other's fib ), up against an Ashdown EB-180 watt and and Fender Bassman here at the moment there is no real difference....and being a 15" dual ported combo got some great low's! It's in great nick only being played in my office bar the above excursion, no issues, crackles, pops or any other toothsucking issues....one blue inlay missing from one tone knob (always was!) and one small nick on bottom front not really noticeable, bar those blemishes she in tip top condition. Good range of tones, with bass cut/boost can be a kickback too for monitor use. I'm near Diss Suffolk/Norfolk...collection only please, it won't fit thru a letterbox...photos to follow....saying that I wouldn't know what postage would cost so if it's deal breaker maybe I could! Not too heavy, can pick up with one hand and will make her next owner very proud I'm sure without a slipped disc to add to the bass playing experience. 8. very good, I wish I had seen something like this when I first started 'trying' to play.
 9. not sure if I read the thread correctly, and don't think I'm telling you suck eggs, but there are two sizes of Tusq nut...a jazz sized nut and a precision sized nut...maybe you have the wrong nut?
Just Checked my local Music stores website (There is only two on the island, that i am aware of) and it seems there is a bass workshop with free admission this sunday. Think i will be going to see what it is. Any other people from around here interested? Maybe meet up and talk some bass. Here's a link to the site, but there isnt much information about it apart from where and when Peter Norris Also, (No offence intended) who are these two guys?
thanks so much for posting this thread, I finally managed to get hold of the bass player I needed to chat with in the Isle if Man, via the shop hope the workshop goes OK Mark used to play professionally, I just got off the blower to him, real nice guy to chat with, I believe Mark plays bass in a band called '12 Miles Out'? Hosts a spot on Energy FM http://www.energyfm.net/cms/featured_article_132938.html ...don't know anything about the other guy, sorry.
 17. One for a Julian Cope anorak most likely, ....I knew he played bass in the early days of Teardrop Explodes, Kilimanjaro etc, he also played bass on the old grey whistle test, but later on I never see him playing??? Anyone know why....bar being off his head?
 18.
Is that site legit in any way shape or form?
I think so, see, it even says so Special Sale Genuine OLP M2-TRD Electric Bass 6-color - Sunset

 20. Rotosounds...my fingers still have the scars! only ever bought 1 set, some Swing bass 55/105 I think and I got say they were terrible compared to everything I have used, mainly Ernie Balls, std Fenders and Yamaha OE D'adarrrrrrrrrrrrio blues. ....harsh, felt like playing razorblades, used them for 5 mins and packed away, and then G string died in the pack when I dug them out to fit to another bass, an Aria SB-R60. ....may have been a bad batch but never again. ....Ernie's are still my favorite and I have used a lot of different his flavours.
 21. you not passing Norfolk by any chance
 22.
Nothing to do with Bass playing. He just wants to return this. Is it yours? Uploaded with ImageShack.us Garry
