Great price! I own a 50/4 and would be well chuffed to buy a whole lotta bass for £500.
Good luck.

thanks Paddy.
they are a brilliant bass for sure,if i didn't have insatiable GAS for a Duke i would be keeping it.
looks like this is now sold too :)
many thanks

Always loved the colour of this one, from your icon pic.
Sadly, I'm trying to sell a DB at the moment
... and she'd go nuts if I brought another one home lol

especially if it clashes with the curtains ;)
well tell her to buy some new curtains :)
Go on you know it makes sense :)
Its a silly cheap price as i can't order my Duke until this one has gone as i don't have enough room in my shoe box sized house for two DB's.

So come on people get yer dosh out :)

Im only on a Triumph Scrambler at the moment, I don't think it will fit on my back. :/

Is collection only, the only option?

Thats a lot of only's in 2 sentences!! :)
nice bike,i do like the classic Triumphs, quite fancy a Bonnie or a Thruxton myself :)
My bass is far too big to send by courier & would cost a small fortune too :(

unless we can find a BC member who is traveling in the right direction to bring it to you.

5. in very good condition with just a few minor knocks on the edges, but hey its done dozens of gigs during the last 2 1/2 years so these things happen, all said knocks are minor & just the paint finish has been damaged, otherwise the bass is in very good condition with no issues of any kind.
i bought the bass from Thomann in January 2012,it was listed as " 1E BB 3/4 Europe Double Bass " the exact same model is no longer listed on their site.
it is of course a laminate construction with an ebony fingerboard & an adjustable bridge, all fittings are in perfect working order.

Edit: i have removed all the tacky stickers i had put on the bass & given it a jolly good polish up,it now looks just as good as it sounds.

it was setup by our very own Mr Bassman when i first bought it so it plays very well indeed & sounds very nice too.
the bass will come fitted with Innovation Super Silver strings which sound rather nice & are very easy on the fingers.

will chuck in the custom F hole covers i had made by Jim Fleeting ( £80.00 )

this a a lot of bass for a little money so come on folks snap it up :)

collection only of course :)

many thanks

edit: i am only selling as i am suffering acute Duke Bass GAS :gas:

6. When i used a Fishman preamp i didn't plug into my amps input but plugged into the effects return socket, this bypasses the amplifiers pre amp & eq section going instead straight to the main power amplifier.
So all my tone shaping was done with the Fishman & i found it much easier to get a good sound.

7. i had awful feedback touble as i play pretty loud :)
I ended up fitting a second sound post which kills the bass acoustically but cures the feedback very well, the bass still sounds the same when amplified.
If we play a boomy room i also use some foam f-hole covers.
I used a Plat Pro for a while but wasn't happy with the tone i had once a had dialed out the feedback so opted for the extra sound post.

Yep, been eyeing up a Thumb myself.
do it you won't regret it :)
Fit & finish quite a bit higher than the Corvette, sounds bloody awesome

I recently purchased a Corvette Pro Series from Thoman and is easily the most comfortable and well balanced bass I've played. Great sound. Great fit and finish.
Considering selling some off now as nothing else gets played now.
a big +1 for the Pro Series.
I recently also bought a PS Corvette & was so impressed with it i then bought a PS Thumb bass which is the best bass i have ever played, was a bargain at £708 too.
I much prefer it to any bass i have previously owned so would highly recommend one.

10. just sold my SG bass to Francis,he is without doubt a very nice guy indeed, instant payment & a real pleasure to deal with, very highly recommended.
one of life's true really nice, genuine people.

You had any experience of the German Bolt-on Thumb? Just wondering if the tone is similar...?
unfortunately i have never played a German Thumb so can't compare the sound but if they sound anything like this PS i am now gasing for one of them now :)
It really is a fantastic bass though,i love it.
