hmmmm.....
wonder if it's the one Beedster, Me and Artisan owned !!
lol
i think you're right
i'm in absolute flat wound heaven.i've tried a few brands including thomastic/rotosound/fender & a few i can't remember & never liked any of 'em.
but-i just put a set of ernie ball group iv flats on my jazz & they are amazing, very full sound & quite bright sounding for flats too, nice tension & they don't have that awefull sticky feeling that some flats have.
also they aren't too expensive either. infact i like them that much i'm going to order a set for my p' bass.
I understand this is true....
it's odds on Fender will produce a signature model, no chance they're gonna miss an opportunity like that.
Just hope they make it properly..... In Japan !!!
Hope they don't use the USA Vintage series to base the model on....I've had 3 62 stacknob re-issues and they've all had rubber neck syndrome !
hi Marcus.
yeah i had a lurvley LPB '62 reissue jazz & had the same problem--sh*te for £1200.00,had to get rid.
i just hope my '62 reissue P bass doesn't go the same way.
These basses are very good - see http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=23285
cheers for that Gareth & thanks for the mention in t'other thread.
It looks a reet beauty Neil, & a bargain too. Much prettier than a PC.
thanks Phil, you're correct there mate-much prettier-but i needs me pc,i'll get the sack using this work pc
then i'll have to get a propper job.
o.k. so this bass is still for sale due to the last buyer dropping out due to lack of funds
now priced for a quick sale as i was counting on the cash for my new computer-which i have ordered.
it's a bloody bargain for £350.00 so no silly offers please.
come on its a fooking cheap nice jazz bass.
just a little update, "the growlers" has now ceased to exist.
we haven't played together for 6 weeks & are supposed to be playing "the blues bar" in harrogate next friday.
our singer has just told me he can't practice with us as he's too busy with his scout group ! enough is enough.
so sod it me & my brother will form a new band & start again.
"the growlers" r.i.p.
this is the Mexican made 60's Jazz bass, check out Fenders website for full specs.
due to my home pc melting itself i'm needing some cash for a new one so i have to let this beauty go.
i've only had it a few weeks so i've not had time to get it set up but it plays nice anyway.
it's a beautifully made bass easliy as good as a MIA bass much much better than the MIM standard range(i.e. no routing under the scratch plate + build quality as good as my '62 MIA P bass) & better than a Jap fender imho.
its got reverse tuners, vintage frets, correct pickup spacing & early 60's logo.
it's a beaut' & i'm really sad to have to sell it but needs must.
price is £350.00 which is a bargain as i paid £541.00 + shipping for it 6 weeks ago.p.s. if you pay via paypal you will have to cover the fees
cheers.
Well, found these for sale here - http://www.andertons.co.uk/acatalog/info_0..._medium=Froogle
for 449 quid.
What you all think of that price?
I reckon it represents pretty good value bearing in mind what I've read about these basses from over the pond - haven't seen much in the way of negatives. Build seems to be very good indeed.
thats £100.00 less then the 60's jazz bass
anyone know why?
