1. thats a bugger i really want something with a speakon
2.
Double check your cables....... always the weakest part in any chain...... also on some of the GK cab's, depending which model you have.... you can run them Bi-Amp so make sure your not just running the HF... you'll need to use all four pins of the speakon connector to get control over both the tweeter and woofers Oh yeah and GK is distributed in the UK by Beyerdynamic.
thanks for the info.i tried with my GK head (actually not mine anymore) & also tried it with my new ampeg + new speaker lead-with cab set to full range-& ziltch. as for warranty its over 12 months old so out of warranty period. i might just flog it cheap as repairable-if anyone's interested-& buy an ampeg cab.
3. thanks guys ,all PM'S replied to. item sold pending the usual.
4. hi mate does the ampeg have speakon connectors or just 1/4" jacks.
5. thanks mate i'll check it out
6. hey guys this is still available i.e. no one's confirmed as yet. one thing i would say though,if you pay by paypal i'll need an extra £10 to cover their commission-hey this is cheap also any one know what it'll cost to post this to London ?
7. by eck thats a reet beasty. bumped for free mate
8. thanks guys.yes i've checked for loose wires etc & all looks well but i'm not good with electrickery so i'll get it checked out first. as for the speaker i think i'll probably go the neo route, maybee a 500w 4ohm & just bin the horn, but your probably right the cross over is most lilkey.i took the speaker out & it looks fine (to a numpty like me anyway)
9. all PM'S replied too. its sort of sold-just waiting for one of the many potential buyers to confirm etc. i knew i should have put it up for £300 oh well we're all mates here i reckon & if you can't do your mates a favour then its a bad job. btw its first come first served-so don't hang about the first p.m. confirming sale & payment gets this too bloody cheap head. + thanks guys Neil.
10. hey thanks you guys--luv ya

13.
I have a b410hlf 4ohm 450watt cab in new condition for sale..£300, works incredibly well with the 3pro. andy
cheers-if i can raise any cash i may just but that of you-thanks
14.
If you bought the amp from a shop, why don't you just take it back again and explain the situation. You are perfectly entitled to do so within 14 days without any quibble. Even if you bought from the internet.
hehe always wanted an Ampeg but the missus said they were too expensive. but thanks any way Dood
15.
I recently bought a 4ohm 15" Neo replacement speaker by Celestion from a place called Lean business. Put it in my Hartke XL cab to replace the blown Hartke speaker and it works a treat! And it's probably a bit smoother than the old one. Only about 60 odd quid as well.
cheers i'll try to find a web address for them-unless you know it.
16.
You need to check the speakers technical spec or get a replacement from GK. I think they are distributed by SMART who have a member on here. Its not like any 15inch speaker will do. Why didn't you check whether it was the amp or cab before buying a new one, or was it a crafty gas attack.
you know it just don't tell the missus.

18. oh crap i was shure my GK head unit had crapped out at last weeks gig.so much so that i've just bought a new Ampeg head unit-rushed home like a dememted twat-plugged it into my GK speaker & ........................................................................... .................................................................................................... ............................................................................ wait for it ..........................................................................................ready..... ........................................................... NOWT !. turns out there's nothing wrong with the GK head unit its the speaker thats buggered i just blew £700 ish & now me speakers knackered. the horn works ok but the woofer's silent-oh poo. hope its fixable which is a point its i need a new speaker can you buy a 4ohm 15" speaker & could i fit it into my 115SBX-11 cab would it work ok. cheers guys, think i need a beer. 20.
hey everyone!! Neil (artisan) is a top bloke!! the bass i bought from him a few weeks ago is mint! good luck with the sale mate!
thanks Chris, most kind come on buy it you buggers
21. thanks guys-much appreciated
22. thanks for the replies guys, looks like an SVT3PRO then what do you rekon to this one on the bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AMPEG-SVT-3-PRO-Bass...1QQcmdZViewItem i'm a tad concerned about the modification its had. also what's it worth-i know whenever i've sold amps before i,ve struggled to get even half the price i paid new.so it seems it might be a bit dear to me. cheers.
23. mid gig last saturday my GK 1001RB-11 decided to pack in (along with mucho burnt electrical odours ) which really pissed me off no end ,its only just 2 years old & has only done 20 gigs or so.(i use a combo for practice) so its in for repair, but as i no longer have much confidence in it i'm thinking of buying an Ampeg head. so my quandry is do i get an SVT3PRO or an SVT450H,as both seem to be a similar price. I'm after a nice classic tube amp sound but don't have enough dosh for a real one-bugger- none of my local shops have these in stock so i'll probably have to mail order it,any advice on which will give me the closest to a vintage tube sound ? BTW i'll be playing a MIA 62 reissue P bass & using my GK 115SBX-11 cab (8ohm) cheers Neil.
24. lol nice collection you've got there Chris.
