Yes Three the natural one.[ URL=http://s1303.photobucket.com/user/Ron-Timmerman/media/DSC03072_zps7c8f3e05.jpg.html]
Sorry not meant as a hijack, what model Lakland is this please? That's really got me gassing - the Blue JO is a lovely looking bass - amazing colour too, but I've gone off 5'ers. BUMP!
I think 'someone' has been playing a great big joke, that most here have missed.
Not missed it...just playing along...no harm done is there?
jeez... talk about thread hijacking. if you were my apprentices you'd all be fired. enjoy your muffled bass tones, folks!
Someone's tired!

The definitive answer is Black! We all know OBBM supplies the best cables and he uses Black! On a side note, I was recently re-painting an area of the workshop that we use for crash investigation work, the perimeter is marked with "Hazard Paint" (you know, the Black & Yellow stripey stuff), I asked the apprentoid to go and buy some from the wholesaler next door - told him to speak to Tom who would look after him, the apprentice returned with said paint, he took the lids off and proceeded to vigorously stir said paint in anti-clockwise direction! The look of horror on his face was priceless when I said you had to stir it clockwise otherwise the stripes would be the wrong way round!
Holy sh*t! Wonder if he fancies a trade on one of my basses??!
Careful - he'll have yer arm off!!

Do it! I've been playing bass for around 20 years and love playing all different styles of music, the funny thing is I get more nervous at the thought of attending an open mic/jam session, than I do about gigging with my regular bands or depping for another? I guess it's down to the unknown and being outside of one's comfort zone? Go along, suss out the score & if you feel like joining in - cool! If not then don't!
I've got a S12 and can't for the life of me think what could replace it!!?? GLWTS but, this should fly. Hope you won't regret it. I use an OTB 500 with mine and it's a righteous rig.
I had one of these and used it with a MarkBass F1 head, replaced it with two Aguilar DB 112T's/DB750 - I'm really gassing for one of these again now - fantastic sounding cab (and very lightweight ). GLWTS and bermp!

Crafted may be a bit strong!?

Whilst I don't condone such behaviour (the use of the GF to drape herself over the bass) the seller has achieved exposure to a much wider audience as you've shared the for sale add on here, and so it could be argued that he's got better value for money/more mileage when compared to a "normal" ad - and that's what marketing does for you. I concur that if I asked my good lady to display her wares whilst hugging one of my basses she'd think I'd gone gaga!
Another option is to contact Andy Baxter www.andybaxterbass.com and ask him to find you an original 70's example. He's super-hooked up with guitar traders globally and he could probably find what you're after (year, finish, condition, etc..) I think you might be surprised how much less this option will cost compared to a special order Custom shop build. Better investment longterm too I imagine. Edit: I have no affiliation with him at all. I just drool at his website every once in a while! I personally would love a Y.O.B. '72 fretless P myself.

Spot on, and a wanted ad on Basschat ain't a bad idea either
Have to agree with these guys - sound advice if you ask me!

Just to add my two penneth (and some balance) I've bought 3 basses and a Taylor acoustic guitar among other things from them over the last 3 years & every time I purchase anything from them, or even telephone to enquire, the service has always been exceptional. I live around 1 1/2 hours drive away and always give them notice of what I want to try/buy - to be fair to them I would always try to give them 24 hours notice to make sure what I want is there (in the shop), in order to avoid a wasted journey, although I have been known to call them up early on a Saturday and drive straight there to try/buy. Speak as you find I always say - they've always looked after me well and I am a tad surprised to hear negative comments about them - clearly they got it wrong on this occasion.

I always struggled with ER20's as I have smallish ear canals too! Found them really painful after an hour or so so opted for ACS Pro 17's and an additional set of -20db filters for the metal band I dep for, they are so comfortable to wear, I certainly wont gig or attend gigs without them now. Money well spent.

I have three pedalboards (PT2, Mini & Nano) for different gigs, I can make do with the nano so guess there's the answer, Octamizer, Echobox (can be manipulated to give chorus, reverb or delay) and a TFR. If I had to sacrifice one of those 3 it would be the Echobox

No gig tonight

Don't see any for months and then... http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19f73f969a http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19f6f9a3af As much as I'd be curious to try one not sure I'd want to shell out all that moolah on a whim? I'm sure they'll sell though.
Looks great, slightly concerned about your bridge placement though, if its not in the right place then intonation goes out of the window, id make sure that its right asap other than that im loving the green and tort.
I've come to realise that - I set it up properly last night and it was a bit of a bugger to intonate tbh & also it just doesnt look right IMO so will be re-fettling & repositioning the bridge tonight!
Excellent - liking that a lot, though agree with Bassassin that a pearl pickguard might work better, and def needs a decal
I had mixed feelings regarding the pickguard - I tried a white one/mint one and also a pearl guard but it all looked a bit wishy washy (if you know where I'm coming from) so settled on tort - the inspiration for this build was seeing Geddy Lee's surf green Jazz on the last tour, I went for Seafoam as it retains some of the green colour under stage lights rather than having that washed out Oly white look about it. I've got two Oly white Jazzes already. I've ordered a decal last night - will offer it up and make a decision.
That looks hot. Great work and good to hear the necks are decent quality. Can't beat a seafoam jazz
Thanks for the feedback - I assembled it last night and tonight have spent setting it up to suit my taste a bit better - it sounds pretty darn good at home practice levels - practice on Sunday will be the acid test I guess.

Bought a set of Wilkinson tuners from Paul, an absolute pleasure to deal with and lightning fast delivery! Cheers Paul!
