1. How about the Aguilar Filter Twin? That's been my go to filter for quite a while - I find it really user friendly.
2.
They're much more likely to be thinking, 'Wow, that bloke really needs to get to the gym. Hide the buns!'
Hey! I resemble that remark!
3. Just bought a Wren & Cuff TFR from Paulo - a pleasure to deal with - top man! Thanks

6. Hi Keith, I'd be interested in the set-up class as well please.
7. Just wanted to say a big thanks to Keith and the kind folk that organised the event - was a very enjoyable afternoon and nice to meet up with some like minded souls.
8.
He can only say "[s]feck off "[/s] "yes or no", so I'd go for it....looking at his website and speaking to him he seems quite friendly!
Excellent! I wouldn't expect him to do owt for nowt. Let's just hope Mrs Thor doesn't throw a spanner in the works!
9. I'm hoping I should be able to make it, was thinking of bringing my Aggie gear, maybe some effects (?) and a Jazz Bass or two, and if anyone was interested I could always bring the Ri*k? Do you think the gentleman from Crimson Guitars would be okay/willing to take a look at a '69 Jazz Bass I've recently acquired? I'm not looking for him to set it up (I've got it playing much more to how I like it), although I have a minor concern regarding the nut and was looking for a bit of advice - or is that too cheeky to expect?
10. Hi All, I have an East J Retro 01 Preamp for sale, it's the chrome version in minty fresh condition, boxed with instructions. I had this fitted to a Roadworn that has since sold. £110.00 posted to mainland UK, shout if you want pics. SOLD!
11. Just bought a '69 Jazz Bass from Gareth, an absolute gent to deal with and would definitely recommend/ buy from again.
12. I like my Black Russian Big Muff - blended with a bit of dry to overcome the (slight) loss of bottom end - I also love my Prescription Electronics Depth Charge - I've got GAS for a TFR.
13. +1 for the Pitchblack
14. Nice Rig! I received a cab in trade a while back which had the dome of one speaker pushed in, it didn't bother me and worked perfectly but it did bother the buyer - I took the grille off and used her indoors Dyson on low suck to suck the dome back out again- worked a treat Anyhow, GLWTS
15.
I have a John East pre on my RW Jazz, I aged it with some echant solution - looks like it's been there for 50 years! Such a versatile pre and a wonderful bass to play.
That sounds interesting! I've never heard of it before - note to self google search echant solution. I have to agree - the newness of the pre looks abit out of place - but they really are a worthwhile addition, very versatile. Cheers for all the positive comments guys, I'm waiting on a decision from the first basschatter I had contact with - he's going to make a decision before Sunday evening, if he doesn't want it (it's either this or a Geddy he's after) then it'll be up for sale proper-like.
16. yes
17. Hi All, [s]My fundraiser continues... I really don't want to part with this but thought I'd offer it up and see what the reaction was.[/s] Sold to clashcityrocker who had advertised on the wanted forum. Cheers for all the interest/responses guys! [s]Up for sale is my 2012 Roadworn Jazz in 3TSB, it's in really nice condition (for a Roadworn) and is currently fitted with a John East J retro preamp, I still have the original VVT control plate should you prefer. Here's some pics to whet your whistle:[/s] [s]Would prefer not to send, but if needs must I will do so. I'm located near Marlborough, Wiltshire - would be willing to meet up within reasonable distance if it helps or even potentially deliver for fuel money. I wouldn't be parting with this aside from the fact I've got a '69 Jazz incoming. Looking for £650 including the East preamp or £575 with the standard passive VVT controls.[/s] Cheers, Pete
18.
Come and collect them (and I'll make you a coffee)
I bought Mark's Pink Jazz Bass - a nice guy to chat/deal with and nice coffee too! GLWTS
19. Cheesed off with ebay scammers type bump - still available/make me an offer type bump - will also sell seperately now.
20. Up for grabs is my Ozark 5 string Banjo, I bought it new maybe 3 years ago for £280, it's in as new condition and comes complete with a gig bag and strap (if wanted). Only ever used at home for noodling/entertaining myself, I'd prefer collection - would be willing to meet up within a reasonable distance of the shire if it helps, here's some pics: Looking for £150

Patch cables

The only time I've ever had an issue with George L's is when I've re-used cabling (when re-configuring board) - I now make sure I trim the ends off so that the screw in cap makes a good, clean connection - I think if you re-use without trimming there's a risk of a short circuit?
