No expression or wah though. Any particular reason why not? For me, a wah is probably the first thing I'd buy if I had to sort a new pedal rig! Truckstop
I have the wah on the floor - takes up too much valuable board space otherwise! Well spotted though.
Remember that price has little bearing on personal preference. I've played £200 basses that to my ears and hands play better than £2000 basses I've played. that's why your own personal preference is more important than anyone else's. If you feel more comfortable on the Squier then play the Squier.
Well said, I'd second this, I think playability is much more important than what's written on the headstock.
Thanks for all advise , going to London in a few weeks will go to Denmark street have a look around
Hmm, Denmark Street - now there's a whole new can of gossip fodder! Devon to Denmark Street is a bl00dy long way to travel for what, in my humble opinion of course, is an overpriced load of tat! Each to their own of course but I wouldn't bother. There's been loads of discussion about DS - I'd search the forums first. Back to the main thread, I love my Squier and it's been a regular gig bass of mine - I always take it to the "rougher" places we play!

+1 for the Akai Unibass and the Animato. I've also got a bit of gas for the Strymon El Capistan and an Eventide Space - not particularly rare but fairly expensive to try on a whim.
cracking board Pete

That board is a thing of beauty. Well played sir.
Cheers Guys! It's taken a while - have to next decide what will make way for the Prescription Electronics Depth Charge which is on it's way in - could be the Russian (which I do love) off the board for a while? Also Gaz, I've bitten the bullet and ordered a custom Oh See Demon from Ry, should be with me just in time for Christmas (I hope).
Hey! you have some real nice gear.. but what's the story with the Octave pedals on your boards? You have the 'Octamiser' and the 'Octave Deluxe'.. if you had to chose one over the other, which one and why?? thanks & god bless.
That's a really tough call to make, I really like the MXR - this replaced an old EHX Octave Multiplexer I had used for a while, the MXR tracks really well and I like the simplicity of the controls - the mid boost is always engaged - the definition/clarity of the effect sounds quite organic (for want of a better word). I had wanted to try the Aguilar for ages and when one came up in the classifieds I snapped it up - I think it's slightly easier to achieve a mix between your clean signal and the effected signal and would say the resultant effected signal does sound better - the only down side I've had with the Aguilar is sometimes (and for no obvious reason) it doesn't want to track terribly well? I really like both of the pedals, both have their quirks but if I had to make a decision I'd say the MXR would be my go to pedal.

Been ages since I did this so here you go, my regular pedal board: and my larger board when space permits:
I'd really like an Oh See Demon, but will have to wait Si
+1 to that, next on my shopping list! The Tremorslo (cheers Gaz) will go nicely with my Grey stache.
Go on Thor, purchase thy mighty hammer bass!! Haha
I would love to but have just (a couple of weeks ago) bought a Streamer Stage 1 4 string on here - I previously had the 5 broadneck which, sadly, was just far too heavy - have gigged the SS1 twice already and it's reaffirmed my affection for Warwick basses. I've always fancied a SS2...I reckon my daughter would be seriously unimpressed as the only spare cash I have is ear marked for her first car/insurance! Seriously, good luck with the sale - somebody is going to get a killer bass for £1500, if I decide to change my mind/sell something (a Kidney perhaps?) I'll let you know straight away - if it's still here of course!
Five 'undred euro?! You won't see penny one from me you slag! Buy one, clone 10 and make your money back?
The odd thing is when you add it to the cart it increases by another 89 euro! Then I guess you'd have to add shipping, madness IMO! I bought one of those clones recently - it's okay for the money (I paid around £46.00 including shipping IIRC).
