Hi Murgel! Thank you for this post. It's very interesting. I have Japanese J-bass with similar Maxon pickups. Oh yeah, these pickups sounds powerful and roaring. I palyed them some years and I thought it sounds good. And then metal cover unstuck from one pickup and I removed it and and I found out that my bass had dull sound without high frequency before. Now it sounds excellent. I don't know how it's working. What do you think about this?
