  1. Thanks, but just to confirm, it's the power transformer, not the output transformer I was referring to. , although I do realise it may be a replacement, but def a proper, potted, B15 replacement, if so. I'll check out Psionic Audio JIC.
  2. Hoping I can get some info on my B15 mains transformer. Connections all seem correct, and agree with circuit diag under amp. Tube rectified, non-pcb version. Amp is run from a step down transformer, and is working fine,( just need to lower the hum level a tad ) However, there appears to be two additional leads attached to the transformer , blue and blue/white , taped off, and tucked away. Can anyone throw light on why they are there ? I don't want to guess ! Thanks, Mike.
  3. Hiya, Yes , Still available . Mike
  4. My Sonic Blue Jazz Bass , close replica of the Jazz bass I played in the late '60s, headstock and all , but mine had dots, not blocks !
  5. Hi Merlin, Yes, Still available
  6. Now reaching in to my Acoustic Control corp gear. First up is a very nice mid 70's , all original, 470 amp head . This is the dual channel model , with Lead/Bass and distortion functions. So ideal if you play both bass and 6 string. UK voltage, comprehensive EQ, channel switching. For sale for £295 if collected from Worthing, West Sussex. PS The unfinished Replicab 301 clone is not for sale, and is not included . Any other pics or details, just ask
  7. Hi Rob, Real,Real Long shot, but do you still have the Green glow in the dark filament ? Thanks Mike.
  8. Was great to meet up with Chris last week, when he picked up an amp and some "black boxes " ( my wife's description ! ) from me. Had an enjoyable chat 'bout bass things , even though we were pushed for time . Chris was well organised, and a pleasure to deal with ,communicating well at all times , despite some "logistics" problems which Chris quickly dealt with. Basschat at it's Best ! Thanks Chris, Enjoy the amp.
  9. Now Sold Mackie SRM450 v2 PA cabs. Bought from a fellow basschatter many moons ago as backup spares, and in my ownership, only used/needed the once ! Both have covers, which have protected them over time , but the top panel has come unstitched on one . Simple fix , probably ! Other than that, covers are in nice , presentable, condition. Collection only, please , from West Sussex.
  10. Retired from my Rock n Roll band, so selling my PF-500 Portaflex rig . Amp has been great, very reliable . PF-115 cab has light signs of use , but works fine. PF-210HE 2 x 10 cab is almost like new , as I only used it very occasionally. All in all, a very versatile setup, amp can switch between cabs easily if you just need one cab on the gig, as the clip-on tops on the Portaflex cabs are interchangeable. Collection only, please , from West Sussex.
  11. Great pair of Glockenklang 12 " 8 ohm bass cabs, in well cared for condition . One cab is the Space Deluxe Cab, (on hold ) the other is an identical Passenger cab, with the top amp combo part professionally removed and refinished, to create a matching pair. Both cabs are of lightweight construction , and are fitted with the legendary " Volt " bass units , made especially for Glockenklang . These are ceramic units, but still a one hand lift. Collection only, please, from West Sussex. Price is for the pair !
  12. Hi Tom c , I've edited out any "no longer available " , so everything left in the june3 2023 ad still available, see 1st page. Loads of other amps I've not even listed yet, Likely take me years to sell them all ! Trouble is, I keep getting " Hoarders Lament ". It's like G.A.S, but I've bought them already !
  13. Hiya, Try Demeter Windings, Chelmsford CM2 9TE UK Company, They made me a new transformer for my Trace Elliot V6 Good Luck, Mike.
  14. Found some, similar cab in John Entwhistles book, page 13, but mine has metal grill. ( and no pre amp ).to be clear, cab for sale does NOT have a preamp installed. Power amp at bottom is included. These are old pics, for info only.
  15. Hi Rob, I did contact Westside, but received a curt reply that Mesa service is now down to Gibson ! Not entirely unreasonable, I suppose, as there have been big changes at MESA, who have been very helpful. However, as you know, I'm a semi retired engineer, metalwork ( bent facia panel ) no problem for me, and I'm making a jig so that the replacement pot is accurately located on the pcb . Looks like the master volume pot is 100k ohms , log , taper a bit harder to identify, but 'bout 25 % . Just gotta find the correct 16mm pot , and I'll hopefully be sorted . Will get my tech to fit pot , I'm fine with the old leaded solder on my old valve amps , D-800 probably uses lead free ! Using my ( over 40 years old ) A.M.P. BH-420 in the meanwhile. Lovin' it ! Best Wishes, Mike.
  16. I've been using this again, lately. Lovin' it ! Just to confirm, It is 240v , built for the UK market ( but I've never seen another one , over here )
  17. Unbelievable ! What can I say ? "above and beyond the call of duty " comes to mind. Thank you so much for your positive reply . It's a great relief to know that there are repair possibilities for my Mesa D-800, despite living in the UK. I did, in fact, knock my amp off the speaker the previous week , in its carry bag, but thought no more of it ! Again, Thank you, I will message you, as suggested. Best Wishes, and Seasons Greetings, Mike
  18. Can anyone shed light (sorry ) on my Mesa d-800 limit light being permanently on ? Amps been fine , 'till suddenly, when I switched on last week , no instrument attached, the limit light came on, amp hums, and controls seem all over the place ! what to do ?
  19. Can't thank Dave enough ! Despite living at the other end of the universe (OK , UK, ) he happily agreed to to drive the odd 240 miles or so, and meet me at a Sheffield service Station to collect his Acoustic Control corp , and Ampeg cabinets. On the way down, He also collected a couple of 60's Vox AC30 stands for me , in Sunderland. Despite both our drives being in the 4 to 5 hour time scale, We arrived within 10 mins of one another. Then the fun started . First cab wouldn't go in the car. To my amazement, Dave started pulling bits off his car, and finally, with a big push , it popped in ! Gotta hand it to him, he's not easily deterred . Good thing, could have given us a big problem. Everything else went in, Just, then quick chat, and we were off. Shame we didn't have more time, but Dave had to be back, and I had to go to Birmingham on the way home , and escape before the rush hour . All in all, Dave's organisational skills made everything possible, and , just like the last time I met him , a pleasure, too. Thanks Dave !
