  1. This is basically an outboard, self contained 18v ( two PP9's ) version of the Aguilar OBP1 bass preamp, often fitted to high end basses. bought it new, yonks ago, only used at home, so pretty unmarked. Still has original box £80 plus postage.
  2. Don't think this was ever used, as I was unwilling to drill into the side of my Jazz bass. This is the 4 control , side Jack fitting, version of the Audere active preamp. Screw connections for pickup leads, however, Jack plug and battery clip need reconnecting. Boxed, connection details are online.£100 plus postage
  3. So here are some pickups I have finally allowed myself to part with , all are used( by me, and previous owners ), mostly bought s/h on basschat over the years. All prices plus postage, unless collected. Top row, 2 pairs of Lace Sensor Precision pickups, £50 per pair ONE PAIR SOLD middle row P/J set from Japanese Bass Collection £50 early, probably 80's Bartolini Quad Jazz Bass pickup set, many wiring options, £90 Nordstrand P/J set, very little use £95 bottom row Set of P/J pickups form a high end Ibanez bass, badged Ibanez, but look identical to Dimarzio, and are great sounding .Bridge pickup wire needs extending £65 set of 8E Bartolini active Precision pickups, with the correctly matching, but passive, bridge pickup.P link needs resoldering £75 pair early ( fixed lead ) EMG Jazz bass active pickups . I love these pickups, just have too many ! £75
  4. Just a bump, to keep the interest going, this looks exciting.
  5. It's not the packing , it's the PIA carriers, just not worth the risk, I'm afraid. However, I did check my friends gig list , JIC, but he's not near you for a quite a time. know anyone gigging down near me ?
  6. Just bought a couple of pickups off Lee, arrived super quick, very well packed, and as described. Thanks Lee
  7. Thank Goodness I don't know what a lot if those things are, ' cos if I did, I'd probably need them ! GLWS
  8. Thanks, I'm not selling a new one, I'm offering to sell a well aged, kindly reliced one that matches the look and wear/ age of an early 70's one, albeit, was prob manufactured in the 80's . note the difference on the back of my headstock, when I put back the original tuner. Now, as it's been packed away, over the years, it dosen't match, see my point ? no problem if it's not what you want ! Best Wishes. mike.
  9. Hiya, is indeed your old cab , been great ! Actually easier to load into my car than a 4x 10, as I just lay a blanket down, and slide it in . No lifting involved,
  10. Right, you won't run for a bus carrying this combo, but it's in great condition , and it's as cheap as chips ! Took me a while to get used to the Ashdown ABM preamp, when I bought a new one in 2003.( stiill got it ). Problem was , being old school ( OK! Just Old ), I used to boost the bass..............bad mistake ! Took me a while to realise that modern preamps are so powerful, better to maybe cut a little, not bang on the boost ! Then I began to appreciate just how good these amps are . These early ABM amps are fantastic value nowadays, providing you can lift them , or don't need to move them. I last used this amp when I had a "double up "gig, and needed an amp with a good DI, that I could risk leaving at the venue, as I had to rush away to my other gig . DI had to be good, as gig was recorded . Was still there ,when I went back for it ! long way of saying, this is a great sounding, cheap, but heavy combo. If I kept it, I would split our the amp from the cab ( as I have done to others ) , but , apparently, I have too many amps ! collection from Chichester or Worthing, where Combo can be trialed
  11. Yes, I have one on my Roger Giffin bass , helps with Neck droop , too !
  12. This was my back up for the Demeter Minnie I've just sold. Notice how I cleverly rationalised my purchase . However, the Minnie is sold, and much as I really like the Ashdown valve front end on this amp, ( I do have various other Ashdowns with the same pre) the others have real valve power amps, which I prefer ( can't lift them , but I still prefer them ), so this also, has to go. So, Ashdowns take on the CTM 100, but with a 550 w didgy amp instead of the valve power amp . Nice and light, great, well cared for condition, rock solid cover, and you could run for a bus , carrying it. It's no 14 of 50 that were built in the UK collection from Chichester or Worthing, where it can be trialed,
  13. More bits from my parts drawer, that I desperately needed at the time, and then forgot to use ! Hipshot drop tuner I removed from my '74 Precision bass, as I had no need of it ( OK, so I don't know how to use it ) Not sure of it's age, probably 80's. Condition is good , mechanically, and visually it matched the age of my bass ! £70 set of 4 ( 2 + 2 ) Aria pro 11 tuners. Bought these secondhand as spares for my early 80's Aria basses. Haven't needed to use them. condition is lightly used £40 set of 4 new, old stock, unused Schaller M4S black tuners, 4 in line R/H no packaging £45 set of 4 new, old stock, unused Schaller M4S chrome tuners 2 + 2 , still in box £50 any extra pics needed, just ask. all prices, plus postage, unless collected.
  14. Here's a lovely little ( almost ) valve combo, in the style of the Ampeg portaflex. I've used it maybe twice, when I play with acoustic guitards, However, I prefer my old Ampeg SB12, despite the effort it requires to keep it going, so this one's on the chopping board. Condition is as new, probably not even run in, yet, and you're unlikely to bump into someone else with the same rig ! Collection from Chichester or Worthing please, where it can be auditioned ! (
  15. Sorting through my parts drawer, putting up for sale the bits I hope I won't need in the near future ! Left to right , top row Unknown 4 string bridge, 3D adjustable ,unused £25 as below, sold kahler black 4 string trem bridge, new , no box £75 Sold Allparts Omega 4 string bridge , still in packaging £45 sold Middle row Unknown ( prob not a Schaller ) 4 string chrome bridge , 3D adjustable ,unused £25 sold Baddass 11 goldy looking 4 string bridge , used, light distress/ relic £50 Sold Shaller 3D 4string bass bridge , black, vgc light use,, £40 sold bottom row. As new heavy duty 5 string bridge, can be used with, or without piezo inserts ( not included ) £30 Black 4string bridge from Japanese Bass Collection Bass £30 Chrome Baddass 11 , light use £50 sold all prices Plus postage, but collection is possible , and I can get the items to Southampton, Brighton, and occasionally , Bedford, if that helps.
  16. Thanks, But to weigh it, I would need to lift it ! will try and get an estimate this week , but my guess is that anyone interested in this cab would know more about it than I do, it only has niche interest.

Just bought some telecaster bass bits from Marc. Despite my lack of understanding when it comes to PainPals way of dealing with foreign transactions, and the return of the Farcelpast driver from planet Zogg, the bits arrived very well packed, as described, and a credit to the sender ! Thanks Marc .
  18. Just Sold Lee my Demeter amp. After 4 hour drive, he turned up bright and breezy, and brought his sad old sky to check things out.Friendly, well organised, and a pleasure to do business with. Thanks Lee.
  19. Hi Jack, not free , but would these do, instead of an empty 8 x10 ?
  20. Bought this amp from Warwickhunt nearly 4 years ago. He'd really looked after it, and so have I used mainly when I had gigs that involved stairs, so light use on my part. Comes in nice carry bag, and I seem to remember I put mullards in it, but I will have to check, and confirm. while it can be very loud ( 800w ), it has a real gem of a front end. So many tonal options , definitely likes a good quality cab to show it off at it's best. Collection from Worthing , West Sussex, where it can be auditioned. mike.ii
