Thanks, Yes they're quite a surprise, when you plug them in. I have a blue burst , as well, that was the colour the Crickets had ! and thanks for the hint on the telecaster case. In my time, I've driven all over the country to collect something that I particularly wanted. Got fed up with carriers lack of care, especially as I have a fondness for old valve amps which don't like to be dropped ! Last trip, quite recently, was from south coast to North Yorkshire and back, only there for 10 mins, and they didn't even give me a cuppa ! But I'm glad I did it ! Best Wishes mike

This is a very nice condition , black, Japanese made Fender Aerodyne bass, now fitted with a superb ,unlined, Fender licensed Mighty Mite neck. Just looks the B.......x, and plays a dream. Unfortunately, not by me , though. Very light, and responsive, I do wish I had the time to get to grips with this, but I have to be practical, and move it on. Collection, and trial, only from Worthing, or Chichester. mike.

Bought this, brand new, when they first came out, few years ago, now. Beautifully crafted Reissue, great pickups, modern recreation of the originals. I now have a 60's Rivoli fitted with a Darkstar, that has taken over for my acoustic gigs , so this one is now up for sale . Included is the super case that was supplied at time of sale, Hard to tell it's not brand new. Collection from Worthing, or Chichester

Bit of a Marmite bass, but I saw the Crickets at the Albert Hall, and they used one, and it blew me away, so.......... these are so much better basses than they should be ! however, this is a Korean reissue, in near to as new condition, short scale, really light. Always gets attention ! Collection only from Worthing or Chichester

First of my Trace Elliot valves to let go. I have a Quatravalve as well , which I can nearly lift , so better let this go first. unbelievable amps. But yes, HEAVY . Look on the bright side, it's lighter than an SVT ! So many tonal variations with the valve version of the GP12 X, great DI too, should you need it. Lives in one of those plastic flight case thingy's, so well protected. I could go on, and on, but I'm fed up with fighting the b... Spell checker...driving me nuts. will get pics tomoz

This is the Classic version of Ashdowns 6 X 10 , 4 ohm cab they built especially to go with their valve amps, although , fine with tranny amps, as well.Much better speakers than the ABM series, I've been told. It's in great condition , only a few small, minor marks, wheels are fine, and it comes with a fitted cover. Good punchy, and full sound with the right amp, come and give it a test in Worthing.

This amp, together with my Ashdown Classic 6 X 10 cab, was the rig I bought to do weddings ! So it's only been used , by me, a few times ! That's life . but , I bought it on Basschat , after hearing one ( or maybe the 751) at the London bass show, years ago. Nothing, absolutely nothing in the room that day sounded so sublime !and all the bass world was there. I can't claim to have magic ears, but it had the extra something , and more . sadly, at 75, I'm having to be more careful about what I lift now, so I've decided to let go ! it's in good , well cared for condition.there's a mark on one knob, and a switch is slightly bent, but I've always left it,don't want to break it,trying to fix it . Factory sleeve, so looks good, and well protected. Needs to be auditioned by prospective buyer. Collection only from Worthing, West Sussex pics to follow

Here's my very tidy Hofner violin bass, which I guess is about 1972. These can be difficult to date, so please check the pics. comes with proper, but modern, methinks, fitted case. Plays great, fitted with the proper black nylon strings made specifically for these basses, so nails the sound ! Everthing functions as it should, and light as a feather. collection only from Worthing or Chichester, and no trades, ( unless you have an early, not reissue, Hofner Club bass in similar condition ) thank you. mike.

I may change my mind, keep this, and sell my SB1000 instead, but I'm having to replace the tone module on my SB1000, as I'm not quite sure it's ever worked ! Hence I've always preferred the SB900, cracking bass, superb build, and very versatile. Check out the bass player on " Marvin Gaye at Montreau ", looks cool , too. Mine has one replacement Armstrong pickup, as one died, and the tuners , while great, may not be original. Condition is clean , few small chips consistent with age. Aria build quality on these was world class, and it plays like butter. Collection only from Worthing or Chichester, and no trades please, I'm chasing my dream bass.

Not quite sure how to describe this bass, but I suppose the best description would be " similar in concept to a '62 replica Limelite " Built by a guy named Alan Knight, known more for his distressed guitar replica's, but he sure knows how to build a winner . It simply play's itself , sounds great, and for the benefit of those ( of us ) with a bad back, really light and well balanced. You do have to be into " heavy relic" to appreciate it's looks, but this is the bass that first made me realise that distressed and relic'd can look good. It's Worth noting that the Fender logo on the headstock is for effect, this is not a Fender product. I have no info on the pickups, just know they sound good. Best to check over the pics for any further info. Collection only from Worthing or Chichester, and no trades, thank you.

This early 80's Aria beauty is very similar, in body shape, to it's cousin the SB 1000, however, the string spacing at the bridge is wider, nearer. to a Fender. It's passive, and far, far lighter than my SB1000. Sounds great, build quality is out of this world, and condition is very good, considering it's age. Few dinks, nothing major. It's " see- through " gold, not seen another, this colour, over the years. Collection only, from Worthing ( weekdays ) or Chichester ( weekends ). No trades, thanks. mike.

This is my ESP PJ bass I brought in from Japan many moons ago. My go-to bass when my back gives out, as it's well balanced, and light. I swopped the hardware for gold, including the Baddass, as the original black hardware didn't look so good. Not sure of the pickup maker ( it has been suggested they were Seymour Duncan, ). But certainly good sounding. Slight wear on frets, but plenty of life in them. Condition is consistent with age, note chip near neck pocket, and top clear lacquer missing in places, but you have to look close to notice it. Collection only from Worthing ( or Chichester ) , West Sussex. mike.

Up for sale my early 80's Tokai hard Puncher PJ, serial no 1016054. Unusual F decal will date it accurately. Body is a form of japanese mahogany , with maple top, and binding. I've seen single pickup versions similar to this, but not the PJ setup. The bass has a few marks, consistent with it's age, but generally in great condition. Plays really well, has the factory optional DI marzio's, so punch for ever. Collection only from Worthing, and no trades, as I'm chasing for a 60's Jazz bass. Mike.

Odd one this, but I just fell in " lurve " when I first saw it ! Not to everyone's taste, but, when I was young, Marshal was the bee's nee's for bass, as well as guitar. This fabulous old cab is in very presentable, original, condition, inc those special wheels, but does have a few minor marks , showing it's age. I use it ( ocasionally )with 4 early cast celestion G15's , and it sounds the B........X, but they are not included in the sale. They probably wouldn't survive a hammering . It had an odd mix of speakers when I bought it, but would benefit from having 4 modern 15's in there, something that's happy in a sealed cab. So, cab is available unloaded, collection only, from Worthing for £240. I may have suitable speakers which can be fitted, for extra cost, if required, your choice. Mike.

ON HOLD Lovely Mesa Boogie Powerhouse non- lightweight cab now up for sale. Great condition, as I only use it occasionally, usually with a lower wattage valve amp, as it excels for that, looks right , too. Includes those special remove able wheels the Mesa so sensibly fit. Daft price, collection only from Worthing ,no trades, as I simply need the space. mike.

Selling my trusty Trace Elliot 300w combo. I'm the second owner. Has the very versatile GP12 preamp , inc dual band compressor , and DI out. Not been hammered , as I used it with the TE 4 X 12 cab in pic , if needed. ( not inc ) Heavy little beast, great for rehearsal studio or similar, as the sound is " worth the weight " ! Collection only from near Worthing, West Sussex. Mike.

Hi , I have several unloaded combo cabs from which I have removed all the bits I need. Collection only from just west of Worthing, West Sussex. Trace Elliot V4 15" combo. Very presentable but showing signs of use / age Mesa Boogie Buster 2 x 10 combo. The odd shaped one. Condition is very good. I'll leave the inbuilt trolley/ handle. There's two of these.( NOW GONE ) very early Trace Elliot 15" cab, again , odd , sort of monitor type, shape. Condition is fair, but good for it's age. On Hold just to be absolutely clear, there are No amplifiers or speakers or maybe grills left with these boxes.

If that cab were mine, I'd be checking to see if the speaker chassis was a Precision Devices 15. Looks like it could be, from up the pic.Trace used them in the early days, Fabulous, although heavy, speaker, far superior to the standard Celestion.
