  1. Hiya, Added info 200watt , 8 ohm Celestion neo bass unit.
  2. Found a pair of SW 2x12 with tweeters, and a 1x12 with tweeter, in case someone wants smaller columns, or a monitor ! All in full Simms Watt blue and orange livery !
  3. Hope you've been to the Gym recently ! My early one's transformer is bigger, and heavier, than the one on my RA500.
  4. Thanks Scoop , Nice pic of one of these on T'bay at the mo'. It's the later version , when they added a couple of piezo's, and called it the reflector cab.
  5. This is an Ampeg Portabass 12" bass cab, ( not the current portaflex range ) ,now fitted with a new 200w 8 ohm Celestion neo bass speaker. Really light, built from poplar ply, and has a handy trolley wheel and collapsible handle fitted.. Great for home practice, which is what I used it for, and the occasional acoustic gig. You could even take this in the bus, I reckon ! Cab us in West Sussex Mike.
  6. Best described, as half a 410hlf, this was a an Ampeg Ba500 combo. However, it was b..... heavy, and I didn't like the sound of the amp, so I removed it. Put a matching grill panel where the amp was, now it's easy to move , ( has wheels ) looks great, and sounds much better used with my Markbass F1. ( not f/s ) Condition is slightly used, no unsightly marks . Space needed, I've gone back to using my old Acoustic Corp amps, I think it matches the " classic " line of Ampeg s Cab is in West Sussex. Mike.
  7. In my desire to create more room at my workplace, I've decided to let my Orange Bouncer back firing 15" bass cab go. These are quite unusual, ( and I've seen people advertise them for daft money ), but if you are fed up with being " the guy at the back ", this'll get you noticed ! Only 22"" wide, and 36" high, they look bigger than they are. Although , because of the horn loading,on the speaker, they are deeper than normal, 23" , condition is very presentable for it's age, currently fitted with a newish Eminence driver. Great with valve amps, as well as modern stuff . Pics up soon but Google Orange Bouncer cab for info. Cab is in West Sussex Mike
  8. Not sure I'm going to part with this, but the guilt of buying a 70's reissue sonic blue USA jazz is weighing heavily on my shoulders ! OK, so I've had this combo a long time, a thing of beauty, but it's never been gigged. Almost like new. Reason is, I have another V4, not so clean cabinet, and built a head case for just the head, to make it maneagablle. I'm getting on a bit, have a bad back, so have to be careful of heavy combo's, so that's it, a Trace Elliot V4 mk2 ( has the same preamp as my V8 ) in superb condition 4 x KT88's ,loads of 12ax7's, A nice flashy lighty valve to show you power output ! On wheels, so easily moveable on the flat, what more could you want ? Can be tried in West Sussex A mere £950 Mike.
  9. Here's an early Trace Elliot bright box. These were often used by the Stadium bass players on their huge rigs of the late 80's , to add a bit of zing ! Inbuilt crossover means you can add it to any speaker, doesn't affect amp loading. £80 West Sussex. Well that confirms it, the World really is upside down !
  10. Here's my TE 18" bass cab, bought from fellow basschatter a while ago. It's been well looked after, probably from the mid nineties. These cabs produce a really nice sound, not the least bit flabby, as you would think, but can go low, low low. I've used it on it's own, at times, but pair it with a 2x10 to enjoy at it's best. I also have the matching 4x5" bright box for sale, and I'm digging through my collection of Trace amps ( older Ah250's 350's and RAh 500's ) if anyone needs a matching amp. So this ad is just for the 18" cab. £99 West Sussex.
  11. Pair of 60's Simms Watt speaker columns 4 x 12 , but unloaded. Nice clean condition, especially for age. Blue grills are fine, as are the Perspex Simms Watt logo's at the top. Ideal for 60's retro band. I do have some of the original Fane 12" speakers, although some require reconing, as they rub, and I have the matching, silver front 100 watt PA amp, but I need to check that out, So, this ad is just for two, unloaded PA columns. £150 West Sussex.
  12. Nice old Fender 2x15 vertical cab, probably 80's , but I'm not sure. Came to me fitted with heavy duty Fane Cresendo 15" speakers, al la Hiwatt, but I've been using it with 2 HH speakers, as it makes for a relatively light and manageable cab, for it's size . On castors, so easily moves around. Condition is very presentable , but few nicks in grill cloth, as can be expected for an old workhorse.can be tried in West Sussex, and is £200 with HH speakers Mike.
  13. Finally willing to let go of my Ampeg 4 ohm, 400 watt BXT115 bass cab. This is not the usual Ampg sounding cab. Very hi-fi, very sweet top end , superb low end from massive cast 15" bass unit. And it's on castors . Fitted , padded cover included. Don't buy this if you fluff yer notes ! It was a very expensive cab, but now only £200, can be tried in West Sussex. I also have the matching BXT 210M in a lightweight gigskin wheeled cab, but I haven't made my mind up on that, yet.
  14. Up for sale is my Mackie 24/8 analogue mixer. Only used for home recording, so not gigged since new ! It's a bit bulky, but soooo many facilities, for soooo little money ! Includes the 2u cased power supply. £200 West Sussex
  15. I have 2 Mackie 15" powered subs subs I bought ( on basschat ) for a special gig, coupla years ago. Only used them the once ! They are in great condition, and include the proper fitted covers to protect them. I will happily sell a single one for £350, or the pair for £600. I'm in West Sussex, if anyone wants to try them. Thanks Mike.
