I am interested in this bass if it is still up for sale. Unfortunately, finances are tight. Would you be interested in a trade? I have a Lightwave Fretless that I could offer you. Very nice bass and very unique. Light beam pick ups!!! Imported from USA. All natural wood finish, Maple and Ash, black hardware. Let me know if this is of interest. Cheers, Dave.
Hi Dave, Sorry, not looking for another bass, trying to cull my collection, but if you had an EBS amp................ Anyway, my fretless playing is still at bedroom stage ! Best Wishes Mike.
Just to update y'all, we've had a sudden flurry of orders so this is on the backburner until they're sorted!
In which case , if its not too late, could I add my name to the list. I,m in Chichester, so could collect, .................. and hate carriers, so would deliver in person to the next nearby trierouterist ! Thanks Mike.

Hi Dave, I've just ordered some black tolex from Solasound, as the sample looks very similar to that used on my 70's Acoustic cabs. Will let you know, when it arrives. I will use it on my Acousticlone 361 anyway ! Good luck with the restoration, what speaker is inside ? Mike.

Hi, Continuing the "Cull " of my Bass gear, I'm letting my Made in Japan Fender Jazz Bass go. I think it's about late 90's serial number T 007***, but check it out, it's easy (for me ) to get confused with Fender dating. Condition is great, fitted with lightly used Elite Flatwounds. Photo shows J-retro pre, but that is NOT included, and original control plate have been carefully replaced. Nice rosewood board, and white pearloid pickguard. Just £395 for this not unatractive beaut. Hi, I've decided to sell ( Now Sold, Thanks ) the Ampeg SVT 410 HLF I bought from my friend, who'd had it from new. Made in USA, condition is very good ( scratch on ampeg badge + couple of very small marks ), and plays just as it should. I've only ever used it for practice, since I've had it, as I tend to favour old retro gear. Cab is in West Sussex, and is collection only. Will pop up a photo when my wife shows me how to use the digifangled camera. Ps Will also sell my SVT 350 amp, but need to replace the fuseholder first, as it's disapeared inside the box ! works fine though.

Hi, Just my tuppence worth. Have used sansamp pedal, trace elliot v-type pre-amp( good, but not battery powered ), SWR Grand prix preamp (ditto), but have stopped looking after getting my EBS Microbass preamp. Great for DI, or, when using an amp, I now use the line input (ignore the amps pre). Give one a try, might just be what you're lookin for.

Just a quick note to thank Chris for travelling down south to buy my Variax Bass. This was when the weather forcast that day was for the worst weather in a zillion years. Great guy to do business with. If all people were like this, then parting with my bass gear would be far less painful. Glad you liked the bass, Chris.
Hi , I have a couple of Trace RAH500 's, from when I used to really play !( good old bi-amp days) and I don't use either of the now, mainly 'cos I would need to take 2 cabs with me, and I don't want to do that . Could I wire a switch into the power supply to one channel, so that only one 250 watt side powered up ? I used to love the sound when using them. The other amp, the ppa600, has an on off switch for each channel, but has separate transformers for each side. However, it is soooo heavy, do you know if it's feasable to make 2 mono amps from it ?
Have I put this in the wrong forum, or do I need to get out more ? Should I move it ( how ) to the Technical Forum ?

Hi, I was reading Kalim's advert for his Superb Bass Collection bass, and drooling over the fantastic pictures, when I realised I still had my Bass Collection 5 string, model 315, I think, in a cupboard somewhere. Now, don't confuse the two basses, Kalims is the Super, top of the range model, and mine, although the same shape, is the painted version. Still a nice bass, with great hardware and active sgc nanyo pickups. I bought mine because I was having trouble getting used to the 5 string I had just had built, which had quite tight string spacing. I play quite hard, and my right hand is undisciplined, got me into all sorts of problems ! So, I figured, get a 5 string with normal 4 string spacing and practice with that. Took a while, as I don't think I'm a natural for the 5 string, but it worked. Then I switched to my new bass, and put the Bass Collection away. So now it's for sale. Nice Bass, well made in Japan, probably about 1990 ish, dark blue, slightly pearlescent finish, active, with two jazz type pickups, and active eq. Couple of small knocks on the body (minor), asking £195
