  1. Certainly a "h'air " guitar, loved by the eighty's hair bands. Dropped my IPad, taking pics, Phone is out of the Ark, and my Nikon battery charger is at work, so no pic's 'till next week ! Apologies .
  2. I may change my mind, keep this, and sell my SB1000 instead, but I'm having to replace the tone module on my SB1000, as I'm not quite sure it's ever worked ! Hence I've always preferred the SB900, cracking bass, superb build, and very versatile. Check out the bass player on " Marvin Gaye at Montreau ", looks cool , too. Mine has one replacement Armstrong pickup, as one died, and the tuners , while great, may not be original. Condition is clean , few small chips consistent with age. Aria build quality on these was world class, and it plays like butter. Collection only from Worthing or Chichester, and no trades please, I'm chasing my dream bass.
  3. Hi Chris, There will be some Mesa Boogie amps, but it's surprising how much time this all takes, I still work, do a few open mikes a week, gig (I'm at the Isle of Wight festival, intoxicating tea rooms, this coming weekend ), and occasionally I'm expected to say hello to the wife, difficult to fit more in, at my age ! But I try ! Best Wishes.
  4. Yep, bought the RPM1 brand new , yonks ago, took me ages to save up for it. Got the matching power amp for it, somewhere ! Have I mentioned that G.A.S is a bad thing , and there's no known cure, despite what they tell you !
  5. Up for sale my "rack of pre's ", including a compressor, parametric equalizer, and a choice of ancient, or modern preamps, depending on your gig. In all honesty, I've only ever taken this to Basschat gatherings, as it could be described as overkill ! Although, I have used them all, separately. Pic is self explanatory, easy to see what's on offer. ( Ashdown RPM1 gone ) Just found my Phil Jones Bass Buddy, so add that to list ! Collection only from West Sussex please, so that kit can be trialled, and please don't ask me questions about the compressor, I never did figure it out 😉 Will see if I have room to put in car and bring to Bass Bash on 12th Nov
  6. I will have to split the ad listing down into separate items soon to more correctly comply with Basschat rules, so please take note of anything you may have interest in, as that may take me a while to sort.
  7. Hiya, I've made mistakes on the adverts I've placed, and can't seem to correct them. Tried to enter £7000 for advert total, and it came up £70 ? the other ad, I edited as one item sold, and the advert (for multiple items ) has been cancelled. Took me hours to write it, as I'm no typist. Please help.
  8. After years of Hoarding, I finally have to let go of my Trace Elliot "treasured collection ", ( I don't want to worry about turning in my grave when my wife rings the local shop to have it all taken away, down the line ! ) Heavyweights first. TE V6 , all original, great sounding amp in vgc, a favourite of mine. £699 TE V4 mk2 head in proper sleeve, again brilliant condition Think mini Trace Elliot V8. £699 VA 350, has annoying fault, but works, £399 V-type hybrid 300w mosfet head, best of both worlds, £299 V-type 15" combo, original celestion speaker, green pimple vinyl covering, so early trace, same amp as above £299 ( see pics below ) There's other Trace bits, some unusual, but I need to sort them out, I've gigged all of these amps, at one time or another, but, as there are so many, no amp has had heavy use . Please request pics, as too many. As usual, I'm unable to ship any of these items, collection from West Sussex, where things can be tried , and checked, is my preferred option. While I will not courier these amps, I do have friends who travel 'round the country who may be willing to help with transportation, worth asking .
  9. Hi , Up for sale is my NS WAV 4, inc carry bag , and stand. All in good working order. (Stand is reasonably good, but I'll check that before sale, JIC. ) Will get some pics, when I'm back at work. Would hugely prefer collection from West Sussex, so that it can be auditioned, ( I'm no DB player !) Thanks Mike.
  10. Never been able to find it listed, I'm afraid. Could have been a special order. It is identical to the top half of the 1516.
  11. ( PS Can't remove that £2500 header price, so just ignore ) Mesa Diesel 2x15 Cab, EV 15" speakers, one is replacement. Very clean, NOT ex-rental stock, like many of them. £350, now £250 Mesa 1x12 cab, bought as spare, so very little use. However, while it looks similar, it is NOT the lightweight Subway one ! £250 now £199 Mesa 2 x 10 fabulous sounding cab. Again, not the lightweight version. £199 Apologies, but there can be no shipping on any of this, just not practical. Everything can be viewed, tried and tested in West Sussex. Will get pics up, hopefully next week. (see below ) Mike.
  12. I've also made a false lid, and a box to hold the head, as , although I love the flip top principle, I'm 78 and can no longer lift the B..... Again, pics to follow, when I've painted it. PS Also modded a couple of 60's Vox cabs, A T60, never a good sounding cab originally, now, running one Eminence neo 3015, and properly ported and braced, sounds great, has a whole new life ahead of it. Also, a 2 x 12, maybe a defiant cab, now running an Eminence kappalite 3012LF and an Alpha 6, again properly ported and braced , not tried that one yet. Both look as original from the outside, all mods reversible.
  13. are there any black plugs on the top , covering some mounting screws ?
  14. A trick I’ve used in the past is to put a different colour ( black ) B-string on the bass , helped me !
  15. So, Fliptops recommend the Eminence Beta for the B15, and I have one in mine, but I thought I’d try a Faital pro PR15-400 in this cab, see what happens with more powerful amps. OK, so only in Pubs, so far , but Lovin’ it ! Happily copes with the extra volume, and nice and light , too. That’s encouraged me to start modding my B15r cab,( looks great ,horrible sounding cab) in the same way. Actually, much easier to do, as the front baffle simply unscrews. Pics to follow.
