  2. Hiya, yep, that's the one ! was my go to bass for quite a while, great looking, and sounding , bass, but most of all , a joy to play. not too mark bass minded , me, prefer old stuff, but we'll stay in touch. Brst Wishes, stay Healthy, mike.
  3. Thanks hellzero, I'll check the pots. Hi Binky, pic for you.B........ To tune, though !
  4. Update 26" long 14" wide 14" high ported, worked well with the trace Elliot speakers I had in them , so good opportunity for someone to lighten the load on their heavy , old, trace Elliot 4 X 10 combo.
  5. I run an old 70's Ampeg V4 cab ( sealed , the smaller , probably guitar, one )) with my valve Amps. Modern speakers in it, though. Not as heavy, or unwieldy as a 6 X 10, and the sound is worth it. mike.
  6. They're at work, will check tomoz. from memory, best guess, 26" long, 15" wide 15" high Best Wishes mike
  7. Yep, 16" wide, 8" high 11"" deep, weighs about 10 lbs , inc cover, and I reckon most of that weight is the case !
  8. I have two of these Dynachord 2 X 10 bass cabs, no speakers or handles included, but free to someone willing to collect, weekday, daytime from Ferring, near Worthing, in West Sussex.
  9. Unfortunately, ( or ,more probably , fortunately ) , none of the roadies I know dress like that, ( in public, anyway )
  10. Not much longer , now , before I turn the Cerwin Vega cab into my " man cave " hi fi stereo cabinet !
  11. Just to show you that it's worth keeping at it ! this is one of mine, that I'm keeping
  12. Sheesh ! that's amazing . I did see an early Gibson EB2 in a second hand music shop in Chichester, that has had a 34" scale neck professionally fitted, unusual. Best Wishes, mike
  13. 'Bout 31" scale , I'm in Brighton this Weekend , I can always pop it in the car !
  14. Try googling " Rivnut inserts " , see if they'd do it. I use them a lot , sometimes putting an extra washer underneath. mike.
  15. Yep, were in my jazz bass for few years, 'till I sold it , and put the original pickups back.
  16. Another treasure I've unearthed ! This is one of the two early Ampeg 4 X 12 bass cabinets I bought to use with my V4b. The other, earlier , one is so heavy, it's a two man lift, but Ampeg must have seen the light, and changed to this , albeit road ready, version. Still well built, but far lighter than the mk1. The original speakers have been replaced , as they were quite low wattage , with 2 newish, and two secondhand Eminence 12" speakers. There is no grill with this cab, it would originally have had a solid panel on the front , to protect the speakers, that was removed when the cab was to be used. T'was the fashion, st the time ! great for use with a decent valve amp, but fine with tranny stuff, as well. Cash on collection , only, fromWorthing, West Sussex, where the cab can be tried.
  17. ? However, it's at this stage I point out that heaviness is relative ! I've just pulled this lot out, on my own, to photograph it, and get it back inside before the rain started again, and I have a bad back . There is something special about those old W-bin designs.
  18. Now Sold, gentlemen. Thank you for your interest
  19. Another marmite item from my hoard of unusual bass cabs. I bought this, as I wanted the Cerwin Vega speaker chassis for my Acoustic 301 restoration which I have kept. The cab is now fitted with a superb cast JBL 18"speaker, and sounds great. The cab was sold to me as made in the 70's, however, the condition is so good that it's hard to believe , so I make no promises, just say it is as it is. Would be great for a Led Zep, Average White Band, or Steve Marriott tribute band, need the space, so ( peanuts ) £99 collection only from Ferring, near Worthing.
