  1. Just sold a bass to one of the fine chaps on here. He had arranged a pickup from my house today and after my wife being in all day and me arriving in after 3 and waiting till 6pm it was a no show. A while later I checked the tracking only to be told that ''Unfortunately we were unable to attempt collection of your parcel today'' What the!!! I had seen the van in our street and thought it was turning at top of the road. Checking online some folk say this is what they do when they are running late or are too busy.. Anyway we will never know cause thats all that was said! It has been rearranged for Wednesday. Fingers crossed!!
  2. We are back in on the 26th December. Drop in at some point and speak to Paul. Its a good setup and usually crowded!
  3. This is nice...I have the 50s reissue bass in Fiesta Red.Great bass! This really knocks spots off the Fender Player series! A great bargain!
  4. True Dave......we all like a bit of slagging in Scotland! Wait....does that mean something else in other parts of the country?
  5. Good gig in Village Inn,East Kilbride. The owner Paul is very much behind live music and it's a good venue to play. Pretty packed it suffers from the usual whizzed up punters so called dancing in front of the band. Had stand on the feet of the mike stand to save it getting knocked over a couple of times. One of our guitar players usually plays a Gibson Les Paul. He did the gig with some old £40 thing last night just in case.....For some reason some punters wanted drum sticks off the drummer at the end of the night. I think I might take a handful of old strings with me next time out....
  6. Are you allowed to say that now....with all things being ''pc''.....We have two vocalists!....There!
  7. Nice one Dave. Glad it all went well.....backing vocalist?...I think Lynn deserves a bit more respect than that! lol.
  8. Just double checked. There is some scratches on the back of the neck, not the big line showing lol. Some minor scratches and dings on the lacqure. I think it was resting on my desk where I practise.
  9. Seen that,no,no damage..its spot on. Thats why I prefer folk coming along and seeing and trying stuff out. There has been a few ropey Subs on e bay recently..
  10. Check reviews of these on line. This is more or less a Stingray. Built in San Luis Obispo factory California. 2 band eq,Poplar body, rosewood fretboard, maple neck.Musicman humbucker pickup, active electrics. It has the looks and that Musicman growl.Top notch construction. This has been fitted with a handy Hipshot drop d tuner. Comes with 3 scratch plates wort £30 each and the complete rubbish original factory fitted one. Will come with good quality gig bag. Very reluctant sale. I have purchased something else and well....you know the score! Can be seen, tried out and purchased from my home in Falkirk. Can meet up local. If you want to arrange your own courier at your own cost and risk feel free.
  11. 2019 Fender Vintera Series Precision Bass. Seafoam Green. Maple neck,Alder body,Vintage reverse tuners,Fender hi mass bridge fitted but will include the original vintage type. Brand new D'Addario XL 160 strings. Stunning bass in new condition. Was purchased 2019 before first lockdown and has been house bound until recently. 3 gigs and 1 practise under its belt!To be honest I have two more of these in different colours and well...that's too much! But that said it is a cracker. low action, big tones and that proper Fender p bass sound. Check reviews online the build is excellent.Comes with Fender gig bag. I would prefer local pickup. You are welcome to come over and hear it through the amp or I could meet local. If you want to arrange a courier at your own cost and risk thats fine.
  12. I stand corected as they say....I actually think it sounds fine as is. But I have adjusted the price a bit to make it more in line with what it is which is stock. It's hard to get an idea of a price with it being pretty rare and not many examples about.
  13. Last one on here seems to have sold for £550....I shall see what it fetches soon I hope lol! Thanks for posting!
  14. Watched it.....to be honest I thought it was awful.
  15. I seem to remember buying that said Sunburst bass from you Andy. Cracking guitar. I got offered another 1100s in a trade in shortly afterwards and decided to keep it,sticking the one I bought from you on the usual places. It was bought by a nice chap called Martin from London. I sold it for £300 plus £20 postage. A snip I hear you say! Anyway,I put the money to something else nice. You can imagine my surprise when checking the postal address and seeing it was The Bass Gallery,Camden. You can also imagine my surprise as it appeared on the shops web page for sale at £950. It's still there now!! London prices!!! What are they like!!!....................................
  16. Just heard the Mathew Seligman bass player with Thomas Dolby,The Soft Boys and David Bowie (Live Aid ) has passed away this evening due to the virus. Very sad.
  17. It was indeed Ron Wood who played bass and seemingly every other instrument apart from mandolin, which was played by one of the Lindisfarne guys according to an interview with Ron from Classic Rock magazine online.
  18. Seen a show on tv earlier tonight, about buskers in Scotland. Everyone of them was better than anybody on this show tonight. What a pile of poo...
  19. From a few months back. In a pub,in Stirling.
  20. It has the drop d tuner, which may have fooled you lol. No,it's a 4 string.
