I read that flats were good on these. So I put a set on mine.......
A dull lifeless plonk ensued. A lo-fi sound indeed.
I cannot recommend flats on classic IV.
I love mine. Under that white paint there is a mahogany and walnut laminated neck and body. Gorgeous inside and out.
No neck dive either.
It is a good live bass cos when slung low you can't help but adopt rock star poses.
My cat will go to any lengths to get to my Markbass Cab. It will walk past scratching posts without a second glance however. It will also curl up in my bass case.
