I have a MiM Fender Jazz bass. I have heard about the legendary "Growl" How does one achieve this? Is it a bridge pickup thing? Will my stock Pups be able to recreate the "Growl"? Do the amp setting matter? Ta!

This was used in the Jaffa cake affair to persuade the powers that be that their product was in fact a cake and not a biscuit, saving themselves a fair old whack in tax. Apparently, There is no VAT on cakes, but a chocolate covered biscuit attracts VAT as a luxury item.
