1. Play piano! best instrument for ear I think, i noticited the difference in being able to recognise intervals and especialy chords after a few weeks, I find it easier to visualise as well. Just sit there playing intervals/chords until your used to them (in context to a song or melody can help), another good way is by using an interval trainer websites that test you by playing different intervals / chords / scales and you select what you hear plenty of them about they are useful also if you have a smart phone you can get some pretty good aps taht do the same thing. TRANSCRIBING!! Learn a song by ear, then notate it out properly with correct rhythm, key signature, time signature everthing! It takes a while at first is can be difficult so pick simple songs but by doing this your imporve all aspects of your ear and theory knowlege its just quite alot of effort / time an can be frustraiting. Thats my opinions anyway ^_^
2. I could imagine a band style xfactor would be even more cringey.... to many things could go wrong as least currently its just the vocals.
3. Had to miss last month but I'm deffo up for this one!!

5. ITEM NOW SOLD! Ashton BA400 for sale [s]£80[/s] £65 - collection preferred from Peterborough / London as i think post will be a bit expensive up to the buyer though. Having a clean out of my old gear I have laying around, this AMP was my first and has had heavy use but is still working and sounding fine, the original fan went on it which has been replaced with no problems. I am very surprised at how good this amp sounds the lows start to get a bit muffled when played at high volumes but other than that cant really fault it for its price range, great for first time amplifier or a back up amp. Has some cosmetic damage (see pictures) but still in perfect working order. rated at 400watts pretty simple controls: 7band EQ compressor built in Gain, shape, volume knobs let me know if you need any other information! 6. Well the change is complete here are some pictures for anyone that is interested no new strings yet so have not played it but looks good at least https://www.dropbox....r1ow/PfLYIJLw3N Gave whole bass clean / wax so a few pictures in there to show of its lovely woods! It was not very difficult to fit you can see in one picture i had to file an angle into the base of the brass nut to make it fit properly other than that was simple. Get the old nut off, clean away the glue that was left, file the brass nut for a tight fit and glue it in place!

12. ={ i dont like that sound of that i cant stand intonation being out... I have a mid range 6 string bass and I can never get the intonation right on the B string it bugs me so much i don't play it I am quite good at setting up a bass to play how I like it but it seems with this one gota get a luthier to look at it - The nut should arrive next week ^^ going to get some new strings to fit for when I change the nut as well quite excited about it + I just bought a USA precision and barefaced midget ( which will take about 1000months to arrive) but pretty excited about my new gear on its way =}
13. I see, well i'm looking for a nice 5 string but cant decide if it will play much better than my BTB676 (not to fond of the 6 strings) but I use it for the B string - I Imagine the overwater will be better but how to tell i have never played one..... hmm
14. how come only £695? that does not seem right for this bass
15.
the pup placements look a bit cack
My thoughts exactly

A
yeah I know right.... i'm guessing because its an official Warwick part just-a-nut lll but definitely a rip off price http://shop.warwick....1322750299A8078 + postage. Once I have installed it will post my findings in here maybe do a before and after recording (with same settings) if anyone is interested in sound differences.
18. great for practice in my opinion! don'y use it for much else
19. well i'm €119 down, seems a bit excessive for such a small item so I am hoping for a noticeable improvement but not expecting to be blown away next bit of fun and games will be taking the old nut out and getting the brass one to fit nicely
20. yes your are correct Jim, I emailed warwick to confirm and it is the 'set right' for a right handed bass thanks!
