  1. Scottish Midges v Mallorcan Mosquitos midges any day!
  2. Bought a Marcus Miller jazz from here. Lovely bass that arrived exactly as described but I sold it very quickly due to it being heavy and because of the 7 inch radius fretboard. Not a thing wrong with it, just didn’t “fit”.
  3. Basses boring! How low can he go!
  4. Nile Rodgers also plays/played a plastic Plexi Dan Armstrong. I think Daft Punk demanded he used it in the studio? Springsteen...Fender Tele (actually the BTR one is a Briadcaster)but recently various Telecasters
  5. I think there’s a few articles out there about the recording where BM kept fiddling with the settings until the producer asked why? “I’m looking to get a telecaster sound.” The producer replied, “I know how to do that!” And handed him a Tele. He used a black tele live.
  6. Smash that Pelham Blue Ultra! https://www.schecterguitars.com/bass/ultra-bass-phb-detail
  7. The 434 bass was a really solid unit. From memory a wide string siscing but don’t quote me in that. This being said, I have a tobacco legend 4 which has really impressed me. Only really blasted it up once due to lock down but it gave me a good range of growls and it is a peach of a fingerboard for the price. I’d go Spector but a minor beware us the 24 frets which means a slight adjustment to knowing where you are in the neck! I knew about this before I bought.
  8. Sounds like a Netflix Series ....”Shallow Warwickhunt!”
  9. The North American Guitar Co have been doing B and G guitars for a while, now movin* I Tom basses. Great reputation and highly sought after.

  11. Tastier? https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Sandberg_VS4_Gold.html
  12. One very the best basses I’ve ever played is an early Yammy BS which I think is very like the 700. (7string from this forum owns it.) This is an utter bargain.
  13. GBM4...glioblastomas are utterly ruthless cancers. God bless him. My father in law passed from this and, like Neil, despite the horror of the diagnosis, he never felt pain. In the end, my wife was inspired to work for brainstrust, a charity that specialises in supporting patients, their families and their carers. They’re an incredible bunch.
  14. Excellent.
