1. Traded mine that looked exactly like that for a 70s P-bass. Traded the P-bass for a Hohner Steinberger. Can't trade.....
2.
Just been listening to Walk On By by The Stranglers and started thinking to myself, like i often do when listening to stuff, how did he get that tone? Then started wondering whether bass players had always strived to get their perfect sound, or was just a case of plug in your bass to whatever's available, bugger around with the pedal and amp settings for thirty seconds and that'll do, leaving future generations of bass players marvelling at their skill and spending hundreds of pounds trying to recreate that sound. Any thoughts?
Did JJ not get his tone cos he couldn't afford a bass rig? Sure it was a Hiwatt amp and speaker for a guitar.
3. Yamaha is a great bass maker - always sound great!

13.
I've always disliked ostentatious basses. but, I can't stop looking at the vulgar beauty of the Lowenherz ... What's not to like about a 'Golden Lionhead-Sustain-Stringholder'!!! Edit: and somehow, I really hope that gold knob adjusts the 'Lioness'.
Stick a BadAss II on it....
14. Beauty!
15. Wilkommen HairyHaw!
16. Wee shot of a 5-string bass (Aspiration?) in Merchant City Music. Felt like a well made bass and had a confident maple board. I'd still rather have the 4 string but a brilliantly made bass. 5 string version of this?
17. Go on the site - it'll tell you.
18. 1970s Fender P-bass in Walnut I had in the 80s - RW neck! Sold it in 1987 to buy a Steinberger.........copy!

23.
It's just as well that Mr DiMarzio saved me from all that Piano-making, trombone-blowin', outboard motoring, lawn-mowin' "blandness" This Attitude has no build quality flaws, let me assure you. Only issue it has is that sound engineers keep assuming it's active and ask me to turn the bottom end down... How it pains me to explain that I can't! Bland paint job, too.
That is one bad plank!
