1. These are great live. Sold a purple one on here and it was OK in the house but growled live. Good buy!
  2. Interesting. I have sold and bought on here and some have went fast and others more slowly. The slow item was an item I traded for and eventually sold for about £100 less than the value of the trade. Then again, maybe we both overvalued the trade! The fast item I put on sale for £120 and eventually got about £160! Was I at it? No - it was my first item, I wanted it picked up, a buyer wanted it sent, I had to add a case and postage! Times are tough though! ps - anyone want to buy an ESP 400 at 3 times the price I paid for it!
  3. Does Jack S**t II interest you?
  4. I'd say! Looks like great and it's porntastic!

    ESP Bass

Basically 7String is stripping it down, cleaning it out and rebuilding it before setting it up properly. It had been under a bed in a case for about 12 years.
  6. I live in Paisley - do I get a 75% discount? Cracker!
  7. I'm a J man!

    ESP Bass

Picked up this wee witch recently and 7string is currently doing his Harley Street magic on it. When bought: Undergoing a make-over: I'll post the final pics when it returns form the bass surgery!
  9. The name 'Disney' worries me as in Scottish slang it translates as 'does not' as in 'It disney work!'

  18.
It's not a Surveyor. It is, however, a 400 Series Jazz bass, probably one of the finest Jazz basses you're ever going to lay your hands on. Well done, that's a serious instrument you've got there. Doesn't look like the original scratchplate though, it doesn't follow the shape of the body around the lower horn. Still, that's a major score, they're seriously top quality basses.
Sorry mate - you're right - it's not a Surveyor....had the name on the insane membrane!
  19.
HAHAHA, I did mean 3,750 smarties though
Doh!
  20.
Very difficult to say because despite being a cracking bass and quite rare, they are more of a unknown and only worth something to the owner rather than of any value. I would never sell mine as it has sentimental value and is the best Jazz bass I have owned but its worth more to me than what I could sell it for. You could say £600 but I think you would struggle to get that because you could get a Jap Fender 62RI for £300 - £400 and a MIA Jazz for £600. So maybe £3,750 is nearer the correct mark but to be honest I really do not know.
Wow! OK!

Liking the look of it!
  22.
Yep, congrats, you have a great great bass and pretty rare as it has the European headstock. Doctor J is also correct in saying its a 400 Series Jazz. I have one also and I think 3 others here do. They were made at the same factory as Jap Fenders and based on the 62 Fender. They were considered better than Fenders which personally I think they are. Its the nicest bass I own. I am currently having a fretless neck made for it by Shuker (did not want to defret the original) which I should get back soon. If you ever decide to sell then give me a shout as I may take it of your hands.
What are they worth? (I'm a Scot!)
  23.
Lucky man!! I want it. Its like the Fender 50th Anniversary but better value. +1 a simple white scratchplate would look nicer.
May do that!
