2.
Helps greatly thanks. Very great price for this. Willing to post? Or drop off?
Post or pick up. If someone buys it I either add the P+P and arrange it online or I ask the buyer to arrange it at our mutual convenience. Tom put me on to Parcel2Go - great service.
 3. As said last night - rocked my rocks last night watching Willie Nelson's EMG loaded Epiphone playing bass player surrounded by mouth organs, dead Martins and a steinway. Also spotted Corinne Bailey Rae's guy with an Ibanez blazer (noted before on here.) Finally - was Simenon playing his legendary P-bass? Good start. Bring on the Muse ensemble tonight....and Scissors Sisters.....and on Sunday, the daddy of them all: http://www.bassplayer.com/article/nathan-w...May-2010/113947
 4. Sorry guys, work, the world cup, laziness, doubt and an inability to shoot black gloss has sent me over the edge! (Not your faults!) Here are my best efforts: Best/worst ding. Bridge area. I had many attempts but a combination of an inability to control the flash and reflections of my semi-naked body in reflection meant they are the best two I could get. To wordify the images, the 'arm-rest' area one is through the polish and paint. The 'horn' one is noticeable but only through the polish. I am not trying to hide anything (not that either of you suggested I was) I am just crap at indoor photifying! I hope this helps you guys.
 5.
sh*t, my bad, you should have warned us, I thought he had a bad case of acne, my apologies.
Sorry GW - I feel responsible for hanging you out to dry here.
 6. Cheers everyone, I'd never used WU before and I can't see what could go wrong at my end if they are paying me so I'll keep you informed.
 7.
Seriously though, how out of touch are you if your only option is to use WU in this country? Presumably they have access to a computer if they can get on Gumtree, therefore they have access to PayPal and/or bank transfer. And if you are a bit out of touch there are cheques, even bloody postal orders.
I've had my PayPal account hacked before and unless it is on here is a bank transfer not more dodgy as direct debits can be set up?
 8.
Paul Be very careful of Gumtree scammers as I had a couple of dodgy characters recently. If you have to ask the question, I`d walk away man. You can send the e mail you got (assuming that`s what happened) to Gumtree admin and they can advise you, and they get back in touch quickly. Jez
He phoned me and said he'd send the money WU first. Now - how can I lose if I go to an office and walk out with the readies? Is it too simple? The WU site says you send the money and get no protection if the sale goes wrong, so I'm sitting here thinking how can I lose? The worst that happens is I don't get the dosh and the geetar does not get sent to London?

 12. How safe is a Western Union Transfer to buy a guitar from me off gumtree? Any feedback?
 13.
Hi, I'm very tempted.... could you take a couple more shots of the two dings please.... Thanks.
I'm at work just now but I'll see what I can do tonight mate. Tom had some great hi-res images when he sold it that I can't match with my 'Cooncil camera!'

 20. Just realised - once the guestroom is built, guess where you are going!
 21.
I really don't want to sell this but my better half would love a guestroom and thinks 14 basses is STILL too many so I'm selling 3 or 4 of them starting with: Fender 2008 MIM P bass, white with maple neck & board. Stunning condition as are all of my basses. It benefits from a set of Schaller, Fender stamped tuners for stable tuning. The pickup had been changed for a Thumper using connectors rather than soldering, I've changed it back to standard the same way. It has that amazing deep thump that only a precision can give... You know the rest, action is low and fast and I'll throw in a Fender gigbag too. Can't take part ex for the above reason Because of its condition I'd like £340 posted please. Thank you for looking. Tom.
Fixed Tom!
 22. Trying to fund purchase of another bass on here. So selling a MIM maple black Jazz Bass. Bought a few months ago from Tom1946 for £320. It came with a white pearlescent guard that I will include. Control panel has been shielded since purchase, new strings, capacitor put on to the tone control (sounds a wee bit brighter I think!) and a setup by 7string from this forum. Despite all of these upgrades, I am still only looking for £325+pp or looking to trade up to something better up to about £600 (ie this plus £250) due the the extreme GASage on this forum just now! Laklands, Shuker and Warwicks......... Basic image with black pickguard: Boring headstock image! Back of body and neckplate. Body shot to try and show marks on the body - one at back armrest bit and a mark on the upper horn. Back of head with serial no. edited out: Standard bridge Gigged twice since purchase and it played beautifully. Not for sale elsewhere but I am not desperate as I still like it, I like it a lot! Cheers!
