Woah! that was weird. Thought Crazykiwi had reverted to his old Avatar for sec then .. There's plenty of variation on the neck width of p basses. Even the early ones came in A, B or C profile with A being relatively slim and C being being flat and wide. About 42mm at the nut..
Or... http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0135760359 For bassists who dig today’s active lifestyle, Fender offers the stylish and thunderous Deluxe Series Active P Bass Special guitar. This huge-sounding hybrid model features an alder body adorned with a single-ply beveled gold vinyl pickguard and a maple Jazz Bass guitar neck (modern C shape) with a 20-fret, 9.5”-radius rosewood or maple fingerboard. On board are a standard alnico split single-coil Precision Bass pickup (middle) and a dual-coil ceramic Noiseless™ Jazz Bass pickup with nickel-plated pole pieces (bridge) with pan-pot switching. Controls are master volume, pan, and three-band active EQ with treble boost/cut (+/- 10 db at 8kHz, a shift in the cut frequency, and about a 2dB slope per octave), mid boost/cut (+10dB, -15dB at 500Hz, and a wide band slope) and bass boost/cut (+/- 12db at 40Hz, with a 4dB slope per octave). Other features include chrome hardware, American Vintage Precision Bass bridge, side-mounted jack and deluxe gig bag. Truly an amazing instrument.
I always wanted a P with a J neck, but they always seemed to do versions the other way around.
Mark Hoppus has a jazz body with a P-bass neck but Duff McKagen: Based on the instrument he has used ever since the first GNR album, the Duff McKagan Signature model is a distinctive, sleek and full-sounding reissue of the '80s-era Jazz Bass® Special, which combined a Precision Bass® body with a Jazz Bass neck and a set of Precision and Jazz Bass pickups. That's all here, with a Pearl White finish, gloss-black neck and headstock, TBX circuit (treble/bass cut), black hardware and custom skull-engraved neck plate. There is no other Fender bass in the line right now with this look, feel or sound.

Is it a full size bass?

Think this is one.... ...call me Sherlock! And another.... Seen one on sale advertised as a Thinline Tele Bass.
-
Don't think it would be out of order to name the type of bass. That being said, a lot of shops mention they personally set up every guitar....
As Bachman Turner Overdrive said... you ain't seen NOTHING yet. Check this bad boy out - the Normandy archtop bass. Yes... that's Aluminium - chromed. Handmade in Oregen in the US, I'm lucky enough to own the guitar version in a different finish (a one off unpolished copper relic version) Craftmanship is second to none on them, really beautiful instruments!
Woof! Woof! Beautiful!

Ahem...
Guidelines for SELLERS 1. Please use the forums correctly – listings must be put in the correct sections not least because people will not be able to find your item. The ‘Other musically related stuff’ forum should be treated as such – no selling furniture or exhaust systems please! Items related to bass playing and music in general are fine. 2. Please provide pictures with your listing, or show your intent to do so. It will help people judge the accuracy of the advert and help you sell the item. If pictures are impossible, if you can’t get someone to lend you their camera, you should allow viewing of the item. 3. These forums are for selling USED items only. If you are a trader then get in touch with a moderator who will be able to help you. 4. Moderators will step in and remove fraudulent or otherwise dodgy items. If there are any concerns or questions please PM a moderator. 5. You must state a price for your item. Anything without a price clearly stated will be subject to removal.
-
I think it's interesting that 50 years on Fender basses from all decades are still held in such high regard. I love the Precision bass, why anyone would want to play a jazz beats me!! It's interesting that in the US, when they could have used anything, so many "First Call" studio players, the guys that created the records that form the foundation of popular music, chose the Precision; Carol Kaye, David Hood, Duck Dunn, Tommy Cogbill, Bob Babbett, James Jamerson, etc. It seems that many of the producers and engineers demanded that the studio players used Fender and I've seen several pictures of "Studio" basses in Nashville, LA and New York and they've all been Precisions. What's the betting that in another 50 years the Precision will still be with us?
The trouble with that (correct) argument is that it really only was P-basses around at the time!
Also worth considering is the Arts Council's Take it Away programme. If you find your ideal bass and it is a bit over your budget then it isn't the end of the world.
Good idea but I'm from chilly, chilly, jocko land......
