sorrys guys for got to add, that a its had a another jazz pickup added to it a while ago. and this seems to be where the problem lies, thanx for replies.

buzz, found that a bit sarky mate,, dont even know what Luthiers are or a sticky !!! . in a while when i get used to this commputer and this forum stuff, i may come back and slap your hand back !! (only kiddin) anyways prob is my bass has been left under the bed for 20 years (yep 20 long years) and just started to play again,,,,, the 2 volume controls turn down each side of the pick ups and not the individual pickups..hope that makes sense. xxx

i,ve got a digitec bp50 pedal, which is,nt to bad but i only like about 3 sounds on it which i,ve put in myself... what would be the best pedal for de-fret, chorus, and phaze, .(useing a fender P...ashdown 4x10 combo..(also are the ashdowns made in uk better than the far east ones?) ps i,ve been away for the music seen for a few years, so i,m a newbie when it comes to all the new gagets out there,,, thanx mates...

well i,ve just started playin after 20 years... (same bass 1974 pricision) used to play alot of jazz funk in the good old days !!! ..on the look out for a bass combo at the mo.( used to have a musicman top and 4x12 sadly long gone)... my playing comin back day by day... even my thumps startin to work again !!...
