  1. Sick album dude!! Hope we manage to play together again at some point in the next year. Monster bass ✌️
  2. Open to trade considerations/ deals to stack together - really after a Meris Mercury 7 Otherwise, maybe a strymon el Cap V2, might consider a Volante....
  3. Took the new amp to rehearsal on Tuesday and gave it a spin. Immediate first impression is that it's solid with the origin effects super vintage through my BF 410. I play in a reasonably loud doom band, using a 5 string active bass. Having reflected on it, I'm not really sure how to describe my thoughts tbh.... Summary: Did it look cool? Yes Was it light weight? Yes Was it easy to set up? Yes Did it make my bass really loud? Yes How loud? Drowned the drums Anymore headroom? Yes How much? Volume at about 2 oclock The presence of my bass in the room was good, it felt like there was a fair amount of 'heft', and dynamics, and there was headroom to spare which is important I think to the whole responsiveness of the feel. Anyway, I have a bit more dialling in to do tbh with my band to get it a bit closer to my 'standard' matamp type tone and presence, and my gain staging was a little all over the place, but it was enjoyable and my favourite lightweight option to date. Gonna look for a foam case to transport it now. Will probably add a few more thoughts here next time I out it ✌️
  4. No afraid not. Cab Sims on the balanced DI, only the preamp and sgt circuit / compressor etc on the preamp out. ✌️
  5. Absolutely love all of these.....would love to try the heavy board. Epic dude 😎✌️
  6. So I've been weighing up a lightweight alternative/ back up/ and hoc rehearsal amp for probably the last year or so. I run a GT200 as my only amp presently. I've looked across a few options, such as Mesa, trace berg over the last year or so, but have ended up deciding to try this GSS Sumo Monster with a preamp set up. My main requirement was I wanted lots of power at 8 ohms to run my BF cab with, and expandability to run an 810 if required. So this arrived a couple of days ago. 1200w 4ohm, 800w at 8ohm and weighs c.3.2kg. It includes a power LED mod and variable psu, dual voltage auto detect. It's lightweight, looks sleek and very simple. I've rearranged my board with the origin and that'll be the pre. Had two mins so far with it and it seems pretty cool. Rehearsing on Tuesday so I'll see how it goes and drop some thoughts back. ✌️ pan widget
  7. My next one with Gévaudan is in Southampton at Abyssal Fest in a few weeks - a heavy and doom-filled line up and Elephant Tree headlining, one of my favourite bands ✌️

  9. Completely changed my drive set up and unfortunately letting this one go as a consequence. Owned from new, been on my board for about 6 months, light use and in excellent condition. Velcro on the base comes with original box and gubbins. Price includes postage, tracked. Take a fiver off for collection/ meet. I rehearse in Stevenage, live near Wellingborough, work Bedford areas. Any questions let me know, bit of blurb below from Origin. ✌️ ------------------------------------------ the UA 610 preamp, which was the inspiration for the DCX Bass. This retro console preamp is famous for adding vintage, analogue colour to a signal, as well as precise control of level and EQ. Push the level harder and you get rich, harmonic saturation of the kind that makes analogue hardware a must-have in any present-day studio. The DCX Bass reimagines this classic preamp as a tone-shaper and drive pedal for bass guitar, with a wide range of clean and overdrive tones, EQ frequencies optimised for the instrument, and our Adaptive Circuitry providing a treble response that reacts to playing dynamics. It’s a signal-boosting, tone-enhancing pedal straight from the studio!
  10. I love this board. I'm scared of the stomp though, but well interested in a capo....albeit it looks pretty pricey! Think Ian Allison uses a similar set up?
  11. Sounds cool. I've not got anywhere near that sort of functionality. I should probably spend more time with it - it's a wicked unit and I love the app.
  12. Just a volume to help with swells and gain staging and a mini wah. I haven't explored messing with the Volante/ h9 / atom expression set ups tbh.
  13. Small changes to my latest incarnation of my board....completely changed the drive section with the megalith and MBD and added a DI as a back up/ to accompany a smaller power amp set up in the future. Input is via the origin Cali in front of the switcher, Bassrig runs from the output of the switcher. Everything else in between. Pretty happy with my attempt at cabling as well for a change.... Best I've managed I think.
  14. Purchased a wicked fuzz from mike. Legend to deal with accurate description amazing postage and Comms and great chat. Would buy again without hesitation. Cheers dude ✌️
  15. Really really left field question. I'm right handed. I play right handed. Im naturally right footed, but pretty much always use my left foot for wah / volume/ any effects control. My guitarist is a lefty though.....and he uses his left foot....especially for wah based fun. Just curious as to whether theres a 'norm' not that it makes any difference to anything or anyone 🤷‍♂️ (Edit - I messed up the poll question - apologies - never set one up before) ✌️
  16. Awesome clean boost with EQ and shaping capability. This is in great condition, velcro on back and with box. Price includes standard second class postage and assumes friends and family PayPal/ bank transfer. Any questions let me know, Cheers

  17. Part of the gigrig modular power approach. Velcro on back, works a charm in good condition. Price is posted, any questions let me know. Cheers DOUBLER The ultimate 9-18V DC adapter is only a click away! Power your Electric Mistress or old Ibanez AD80 directly from the Generator. Run your Fulltone Full Drive II at 18V for more headroom, any pedal that takes 18V DC and the Doubler is for you. TheGigRig 9-18V Adapter will provide a clean supply and isolate the pedal it supplies, from all the other pedals, in exactly the same way as using the pedals own wall power supply. What’s more the 9-18V adapter will provide reverse isolation, so cross-talk between its dedicated pedal and other pedals is eliminated. 21. Still available - price drop to £70 Cheers
  22. I'm playing on this one with Gévaudan in Bradford in 5 weeks time - 10th & 11th May. 2 stages, lots of heavy and the highly emotive 40 Watt Sun closing it all off. Should be a good one. Tickets: https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Bradford/The-Bradford-Underground/Ruination-Festival-2024/36487274/?fbclid=IwAR2Kp8_RAMAVIUP0Rur5JrMHW3Yk6RADHTX9E5OkggXtTDxMP6Ok5k-mdxw Thanks ✌️
  23. I don't think the prices are out of touch with the market though... TT is priced equivalent to the berg forte HP2 WD is priced equivalent to the GK fusion (appreciate this isn't a class D amp)/forte D D800+ is similar in price to the DG alpha Omicron There are cheaper amps out there though....costs everywhere are increasing and whether the product presents value or not is down to the player. I remain interested in the amps based on my previous experiences with mesa, but I need to try them in anger as I've always struggled with class D. Be cool if any users can drop thoughts and experiences in here anyway....or maybe another thread. ✌️
  24. Coming away from your list of options (which I apreciate probably isn't helpful) and not cheap, but I love the Strymon Volante for ambience. I'd suggest a peek at it. Reasons I like it are: - simple user interface all up top - 8 saved user presets accessible from the top - sublime sounds and a spring reverb to polish them off - midi enabled Anyway, good luck with the hunt I love building these types of sound. Zach's videos are ace might have a few others worth a watch as well: https://youtu.be/aBEPnDuZft8?si=U--ly1hS-5A1S7St
  25. Played the cart and horses, Stratford, again last night. Really like the venue and sound. Bits that kept the night 'interesting' was 2 out of 3 bass cabs died during checks/ first band...really odd...and we didn't get to the bottom of it. We also had a ground loop problem during line check that was fixed through more luck than judgement I think. Anyway, performed reasonably, played pretty well, everyone seemed to have fun ✌️
