That song is brilliant! Big post-rock fan, and its hard to find decent unsigned bands doing it. Sounds like early Explosions in the Sky! Great work.

For those who are interested Against Me! have a new record that is streaming here........ http://www.npr.org/2014/01/12/261095666/first-listen-against-me-transgender-dysphoria-blues Some may also be interested that this is the first release since the lead singer went through gender transition to live as a woman. First few spins suggest it still sounds like Against Me!; albeit with a slightly different lyrical message. Well worth a listen. For those interested in the story..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03bd0fp

Typhoon – CPR / Claws Pt. 2 Honestly can't recommend this band enough. A little bit of folk, little bit of alt rock. There's about 15 of them so the layering and textures sound awesome. Somewhere between The Shins, Bon Iver and Arcade fire. -
Well, I went for that roadworn Jazz bass I was thinking about purchased from fellow bc member The finish is superb It really does look genuinely roadworn I can't believe just how well it plays I've heard others talk of this series being as good as they are talked up to be it plays superbly, sounds great ..... and I love it Would I swap it for a brand new, shiny, unmarked example? Nah....
What Marc said ^
Most of them don't have a neck/headstock repair, but is infact a scarf joint where the finish has worn from around the edges to make it look like a break. I picked up a very worn Grabber neck for £50 on Ebay that was sold as having a broken headstock repair. Where in fact it is just the scarf joint.
Interesting, like you say everyone (myself included) seems to associate it with a break, good to know its not always true. I know its a weak spot on a few les pauls as well, in my old band both guys split their headstocks from that point.
Top notch build quality there! Half a neck pocket: Wonky neck plate:
Haha well spotted, its about the only one I've seen for sale that hasn't had a headstock/neck repair.

So last week I saw this Grabber. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gibson-grabber-Bass-/161194728454 Lovely I'm sure you will all agree, cracking condition. This time last week it was an auction with no buy it now price; with it being located near me, and him saying it was advertised elsewhere I thought I would ask if I could see it and see what he was after for it (at this point it was on £300 with 5 days to go I think). So he got back to me saying He wanted £1250 for it on eBay or £1000 in cash on collection; being a bit of a Grabber watcher I thought that was a little high, especially with no case. I said I would prefer to take my chances in the auction and see what happens. He proceeded to say he would only let it go for £1250 in the ebay auction, low and behold he ended it with an hour or so to go on less than £600 if I recall correctly. Its back on now at £1250................. 1) Put a reserve on it if you have a price in mind 2) Its the seller equivalent of a bidder not paying, can he do this? 3) £1250? really

Its the cutest thing I ever saw!! That jazz is tidy as well. Something simple would be a good username........

Have to disagree with the earlier "try hard" comments. The Fender Roadworn series play way better than the pristine ones for me. I had a 50s MIM Precision and sold it, played the equivalent RW one and was totally blown away. Its certainly a visual thing for some, but the feel and playability of the basses is totally different. I'd like to hear some hardcore aged Sandberg folk's opinions. Also the forum seems to think hot.........
Sounds OK (apart from that odd ringing, similar to the sound you get when you tap a scaffold pole), but looks like a gardening implement. Terrible aesthetics. Not for me I'm afraid. Daft Punk might be interested though...
I thought more clothes rail than scaffold pole! It could definitely double up as one.
So who's giving away free '63 AVRIs then? It's a great looking bass, by the way!
I stole it....................... Kidding; I won it. Rotosound swing bas 50th anniversary tshirt design competition. Its amazing, had to take the pickup cover off though. Was doing my nut in!
