1. Dodgy photo, apologies in advance. Bought a Noisebox, and it's a bit too much for me. Used it I think three times to have a play, but it's never been on my pedalboard - it still has the rubber feet Subdecay sell it with. It's boxed, with instructions and mint condition. Pretty much brand new. It's a glitchy ring mod/synth/fuzz.. thing? Youtube it, go wild £115 posted.
Pics or it's a DS-1.
Uh.. Okay? No natural light, blurry shot of the 'hole enlarging' more accurate shot with bits in position, and paper placeholders for the writing.
3. And if the AD200B sounds anything like my Matamp GT200 through this cab, you'll be a very happy man. If your bandmates don't tell you to turn down! ^_^
4. No, discuss how wonderful this cab is to your heart's content
5. Crikey. No interest for two months, then a host of people all come along at once. This is just a quick internet check for two minutes before I pop right out again, but I will try my best to reply to people either before I go out, or as soon as I get back in this evening. Not forgotten people! D:

I'm at the stage of assembly for my OC-2 rehouse/refinish project. Very little has been done in the way of modifying things. Used a DS-1 enclosure, and had to enlarge the power supply hole for the older Boss power supply, as well as drill the LED hole out to make way for the larger LED I'm going to be using. Some new chrome knobs are going on in place of the standard Boss ones. The case has been stripped and now it's gloss white instead. Happy with it. But I digress as none of that is really DIY pedal stuff. The only thing to do before assembling is the lettering on the enclosure. I mentioned it a page or two back, but I've now had an experiment with some waterslide decals and lacquering back over the top, and I'm not convinced by them. The finish of the actual letters is okay - nice and clear and flat. But the line where the decal has been cut out looks horrid to my eyes. It's a minor thing, but when everything else about the pedal is spot on as far as I can see, that isn't acceptable I looked into vinyl lettering, but I think the letters I'm using are too small to be done that way. Hand painted letters won't look good, and screen printing is prohibitively expensive for a one off. So any more ideas? No matter how oddball! Just want something professional looking.
7. Looks like a Red Onion bypass box to me.
8. You're an absolute star! Thankyou. I owe you a favour chuck
9. Either really, I'll take what I can get! But I suppose having it actual size would mean no resizing or anything would need doing? Like I say, the capital O is 8.5mm tall, so the rest should be scaleable from that? There's a link to the image on the Roland site here: http://www.roland.co.uk/assets/media/pdf/OC-2_PSA_OM.pdf
10.
As far as I can tell, the text for the controls is Helvetica (use Arial at a push), but the Octave text presents a problem. It's possible to put together some outlines that say OCTAVE, but the lower case is very different and there aren't any examples in cataolgue I found. The source font doesn't seem to be around, very likely it's a custom design for Roland/Boss. Three things give me mild cause for concern here... 1. What are the correct sizes? 2. If you don't have the software, how much use is a vector file going to be? ... and the Big One... 3. How do you intend to print/make/confect a white transfer? Pete.
Yeah, it's mostly just the Octave text that is the problem. The other words would be fine with a near match. At real life size, the capital O in Octave is 8.5mm tall, if that gives any indication of the correct size. I can get the file printed at work (shh), so that shouldn't be a problem, it's just creating the file that is the key for me. And I've refinished it in white, so the text is going to be black
11. Absolutely. Pet peeve of mine with any Crybaby style wah! Good work.
12. So I'm just refinishing a Boss pedal at the moment. Almost done repainting it and I want to put the lettering on again in the original font. I couldn't find a "Boss font" anywhere on the net, so I was wondering if anyone here could help. The manual from the Roland website has the lettering quite clearly on the first page of the PDF - would anyone be able to create a vector of just the lettering for the top plate? It's an OC-2. I just need the "output", "input" and "Octave OC-2" doing, as well as the arrows. That would allow me to create a transfer for it at the correct size. I am a noob and have no suitable software or skills for this, so I'd really appreciate any help
13. For guitar, yes. For bass... not so much. Still, that's all from my limited time spent with it. YMMV, of course
14.
To be fair I should of thought to ask.Basically any pedal I want you tend to already have :-)
Is is that simple to make his pedals available for sale? I do want gnasher's Chicklet!
15. GT1 is loud enough, but not that versatile. At all.
16. If you're not combining any of the effects, it shouldn't really matter! But just incase you ever want to use fuzz and delay or something, the muff would sound horrible after the delay IMO.
17. Do want this, can't afford it until payday
18. I did run two of these with a stereo power amp for a while. It was good fun! £300 is an excellent excellent price for this cab, I can't imagine it sticking around too long?
19. It was mostly finished when I picked a bass up about a week and a half ago. I seem to remember the control plate not being finished, so I'm guessing it isn't/wasn't wired up fully yet. Nearly there!
20. The M9's looper works with MIDI controls too I think.
21.
Apparently these are on a par volume wise with the 1212L but with a flatter response, in which case, probably just a touch quiter than I'd like on it's own. I like to feel the bass like a kick in the balls
I have had them side by side with stereo outs from a poweramp to test the viability for biamping. The 1212L is louder (it is honestly ridiculously loud for its size), but my word the Compact goes lower. It laughed at the 1212L's low end handling. Either way, the Compact is a great cab
22. Glad it's doing you well still
23. Should really make more of an effort to sell this. Too big for us to take to gigs in the 2 hatchbacks we currently use, so I'm just not getting any real use from this! Here's a few pictures I took a while ago. Just got round to uploading them. Excuse the quality, my phone's still living in the dark ages of 3.2 megapixels and our practice room isn't that well lit A front view - snazzy old school grille: Rear view - no nonsense speakon connection. Also can see the rear handle and the tilt/roll wheels: Side on - it's really pretty shallow for a big cab: Front view of the cover - it's a good fit!: Rear view of the cover - handy cut-out for the wheels: Size comparison shot - placed next to a Peavey guitar 4x12. Most people know how big a 4x12 cab is, right?:

Okay, slightly different line of questions. What do people use for their lettering if they want it to look professional? I don't really like the look of the shiny bit you get around waterslide transfers, and I only want to put some words onto a finish, not print off a whole top with graphics and everything. Silk screening would be ace, but I think a bit expensive for a one off.
25.
That GT1 looks tall against the GT200 which is normally a bigger amp, whats the power of that 80, 120 or did Jeff knock you up something even bigger for bass? because as i understand it the GT1 isn't cut out for bass. might be a perspective thing though i guess.
My friend plays bass and guitar through the GT1 and it sounds fine It's just a pretty standard GT1, think it's 100W? But I'm not certain. It's in that ballpark. It wasn't bought for bass though, just to clear that up. My GT200 just has a slightly smaller enclosure than a normal one. A standard one is about an inch wider and taller I think.
