1. Hyperpak sold, and Tourman on hold. First post updated.
2. Looking to find a box big enough to pack a speaker cab in for shipping it with a courier. Dimensions of the cab are roughly 635x440x440, so it needs to fit that at least, and preferable a little bigger so i can add some stuff in at the sies as a shock absorber. Anyone know where I can get one? Preferably double walled. I can only find packs of 10 online which end up costing like 30/40 quid when I only want one! If anyone has one spare, I'd gladly pay for it Or... other suggestions for packaging a cab?
3. RC Booster now sold, and Hyperpak on hold!
4.
There was a GT200 on the bench, not in a case though. It had the standard black fascia though. There was also a chassis with a couple of transformers in it, but nothing else. Maybe that's it? Either way, they both looked absolutely erection-worthy
Neat. Mine should have a white faceplate, so I'd assume it's the half built one! I hope anyway...
5. And replied Hyperpak and RC Booster now on eBay unfortunately That board needs to go. Make me an offer on it! Still looking for Tonehammer trades - anyone fancy swapping their Sansamp? And I still have tons of George L's! People must need these?
6. If anyone's up there before my head is finished, would they have a quick nosey and see how it's getting on? I get the feeling it hasn't been started yet, but I'm not sure. It's white.
7. Yes. You can run it in parallel mode by patching two of the inputs on the rear of the amp. The procedure is outlined on page 7 of the manual - can be found on the QSC website. Or I suppose you could take your mono signal, and use a splitter to run both signals simultaneously, one into each input, while still using it in stereo operation. Doesn't make much sense if you're not using two different source signals though when the parallel mode is much more user friendly Doesn't do bridge mono, but that's not what you asked about!
8. To destroy buildings with volume?
9. Thanks Sharkfinger Here's a few photos I took yesterday. My camera isn't the greatest, but this is what it looks like! Front: Rear: The only thing I'd really regard as damage in anyway is this massively insignificant, tiny shallow scratch in the paintwork on the bottom of the amp:
10. Certainly for guitar, someone I know uses one of these into a Matamp GT1 and it absolutely destroys any amp distortion I've heard recently. Highly recommended!
11. The SFT powers a power amp doesn't it?
12. Haven't come across one!
13. Bump! Hopefully photos of my specific amp tomorrow. Just to add, it's really shallow for a high output power amp, so it should fit in most shallow cases I'll chuck in a free OBBM speakon lead for the buyer too - can't say fairer than that!
14. Yeah, just noticed the price compared to the X2 as well. I think I'm keeping the X2 if the performance is comparable
15. Bump! The remaining stuff still needs to go people. Matamp to buy!
16. Be interested to hear about the battery life. Using 2 AAs is much better than 9vs. That's the only thing that would sway me from the X2 I have though, as they sound very similar otherwise.
17. Ugh, no. I had a Maplins one. It was massive, heavy, took up space on my pedalboard and introduced LOADS of noise. effectspowersupplies have one which is smaller, cheap enough, doesn't take up too much room (it's a wall wart, but not a massive one), doesn't weigh a ton, and isn't noisy. Get that.
18. To clarify, it is a cover bought from SHX, which I believe in turn comes from Jorg. Neither of the covers I have actually have the Schroeder logo on them, but they were accessories sold to me at the same time as the cab. Whether that makes them 'official' ones or not, I'm not sure.
19. I'd still recommend a good Schroeder. For heavy rock stuff, it just has more balls than all the other lightweight stuff I've tried.
20. Knowing nothing about the product... As Line 6 bought X2, is this just the same technology as the X2, rebranded?
21. LOL. It's my shirt! Honest! Or maybe that's just a demonstration of how good the cab is
22. Thanks! Yeah, I wouldn't be getting rid of it if I didn't have to. I love it - it just appears the Schroeders aren't as in vogue as they were a little bit ago! Doesn't stop them being damn fine sounding
23.
Finbar is selling a QSC PLX1804 on here which would put 900w a side into 4 ohms. Good price I reckon.
I agree.
24. Honestly I found the looper far more intuitive than the one on the DL4. Just don't suck at timing. As with any looper.
25. Mine's being built right nowwwwwww
