    Line6 M9

Yup! In a devastatingly oversized box. Could have got about 10 M9s in it! Initial impressions on going through the presets and tweaking things here and there are that the filters/synths are neat, the delays and reverbs are excellent as expected, modulation is strong, but not found a drive sound I'm liking too much yet. Thinking not selling my drive pedals may prove to be a good move. More experimentation to follow as I try and configure it to be giggable - probably going to need to spread across two scenes at least. The tuner is nowhere near as bad as I was expecting, but the readout for it is too small to be that useful for quick reference at gigs I think. Will probably still keep my tuner pedal in a tuner out from a volume pedal. Plus how lush is the particle verb?
  2. Stereo Memory Man now sold subject to finalising
  3. Need to sell all of these! Prices have had a drop accordingly
  4. A pedal tuner will not make your amp silent if it is noisy. It will simply kill the noise of everything before the tuner in your chain, which sounds like it may just be your bass. If the amp is noisy, it will still be noisy. The cheapest solution would be to turn the amp off when it isn't in use I'm afraid!
  5. You might have to remind me what it looked like, there were a couple around
  6. I thought it was basically finished when I was there on Thursday

Got me there XD Though it's the first I've heard of it, I don't doubt it exists. I just want my new toy

Not bought from America, I need it quicker than that, so taken the hit on the extra money it'll cost Still comes through a courier though apparently. While I'm remembering though, I just need a USB to MIDI cable to update the M9 using Monkey, right? Any standard USB to MIDI cable will work fine, I'm assuming?

I work for Royal Mail, where next day is actually next day (or supposed to be, before anyone pipes up ), Saturday or not. It doesn't cost more to deliver on a Saturday does it. Fuel isn't more epensive on a Saturday is it. Lazy couriers. ¬_¬

Maybe. First time that's happened to me though. Half 4 and no pedal. I don't think it's coming today

I ordered mine and paid through the internet, and it should arrive today. I've had a message saying it has been dispatched and everything. Only... when I check my balance in my bank account, the money hasn't gone out for it? I'm sure it done the other day :S

Oh my. That Matamp head is nice.
  14. Frankly, I never tune my bass so that the 'in tune' light is perfectly in the middle anyway, as my Korg is accurate enough that it is nearly impossible to keep ONLY the middle light lit. Close enough is good enough! I would love a Strobostomp, but can't help feeling that I'd be wasting my time trying to keep the bass more in tune than it needs to be with one.

I have two 4 ohm cabs, so that isn't a problem. Being 2 ohm stable would be a bonus, but not expected.
  16. The second OC-2 is now spoken for!

Saying all this, I was very close to "Glassjaw tone" tonight. Bit more tweaking and I might be able to have that epic sound just using what I've got!

The only samples I've heard are also direct recordings from the M9. Distortions almost always sound a bit uninspiring straight into a computer, and the M9 isn't supposed to be used like that, unlike the Pod. So I'll wait to hear how they are through a good amp before making a judgment call
  19. And a second wave gone out today Come on people, loads of stuff still left to get your teeth into!
  20. Biggest advantage of pre/power to me is you can chop and change different preamps as you wish (providing you have them). As for volume, if your cabs can take it, these power amps will chuck out well over a kW of power quite happily with some of the mid/high powered ones in bridged mode. A pre/power setup is lighter than quite a lot of heads too normally, especially valve ones. But you won't get power tube distortion, if that's what you want!

Probably won't make it to the bash! I am planning to go to the Matamp factory though on Thursday. I might feel my empty wallet cry just a little bit

Be interested to know what you use for your 'cream pie' patch? My plan for the 6 effects is currently... Whammy, Octave, Synth, Delay, Reverb, Boost. And to keep separate drive pedals. But I may just filter everything off into two different scenes lumped into two groups of effects I commonly use together if I like the drive sounds. I can't wait to have a play though!
  23. You want a true bypass loop.
  24. Do you have the amps to match? And I'm selling some George L's plugs if you want to save a few pennies
