1. have matamp gas
2. Bump
3. There's one large and well established venue we've played a few times, and the soundguy isn't my cup of tea at all. He always goes pre-EQ DI signal straight from my pedals. Surely he knows that will sound awful? My look of 'I told you so' doesn't seem to sink in whenever he does it and winces at the sound of it though. But I digress, I once asked him if he could mic my cab, to which I was told "eeeerrr.... no. I don't really like working with microphones". I would have thought that was a prerequisite for a sound engineer?
4. I really do prefer the sound of my amp mic'd, but I never demand it, and I'm always courteous about it and inform the guy in plenty of time. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Unfortunate if it doesn't, because most of my sound comes from my amp (I'm sceptical of a lot of people who say 'my sound' with a straight face for 'normal' bass tones, but my bass isn't almost fully driven without an amp to do it...) and my DI on my amp doesn't work properly! If there is a reason why you can't have everything your way though (having an engineer who is incompetent and will probably make things WORSE by doing it how you ask is included in that), then you shouldn't be a dick about it though. Just get on with it and play the gig. Live sound is never perfect.
5. I was told it should work with all basses. Didn't with mine. And mine isn't really full on active. The X2 however, is flawless. But gobbles batteries.
6. I use a QSC PLX1202 into a Schroeder 1212L In an A/B with my Ampeg pre, I can push the Ampeg far harder and get more volume out of it, but 1200W of bridged power amp still pushes the Tonehammer signal more than enough Hope that helps - its a fantastic little preamp IMO.
7.
When are you playing?! Ill check and see if we are. We probably can play is there is a slot. Cheers! I've seen a few pics of your bass....great stuff! Are you getting a JJB too?
My bass looks so much better in person than it does on the Shuker site, if that's where you've seen it. Those photos do it no justice. Yeah, I'd quite like a JJB, and I don't really know why - 4s and precisions are normally two things I heartily dislike! The date that we're up there is the 26th September. With Aorta and Push the Ghost. I'll have a nosy and see if there's another slot or not
8. Yes, its what I do with mine.
9.
you also have reverse which I don't think the DL4 had
It does. Interesting to hear your take on it though, being (from what I can tell) a pretty much obsessive pedalhead
10. Shuker basses are superb. The JJB is also an excellent bass. The neck is massive with wide string spacing, but it just feels so perfectly 'hand shaped'. Can't wait for mine Jon is a great guy to deal with though. Tell him exactly what you want, and he'll make it. Just be sure you know exactly what you want. We're up Grimsby way again sometime quite soon - you can fanny round on mine for a bit. Might not be your cup of tea though. Infact, are your band playing it? I'm not sure :s
11. I didn't even notice your post last time I replied o_O My plan is to get 3 or 4 and keep them in rotation so that I recharge them before they go flat basically (Y)
12. SOLD pending me putting it in the post
13. I used to use one battery in my old wireless, and it would last me about two months. This new one eats batteries in about 2 gigs.
14. The DL4 does looping. The only feature it is missing, looking at it, is the Undo feature.
15. If you only want the loopers/delays, then I'm pretty sure they're the exact same looper/delay functions as the DL4?

Alex bought a true bypass loop pedal from me. Very smooth transaction - would deal with him again in a heartbeat
17. If you simplify that rig to the EBS alone, you have a buyer for your SVT-IIp right here
18. Gosh, I hate batteries. I know nothing about different types of them. I used to use NiMh ones in my camera as I was convinced they were the best kind. Now I have people telling me the Li-Poly ones are. And then you take it back to NiMh with those Hybrios I don't really know what's what with them! I'll look into the Hybrios though
19. One bypass loop sold!
20. I tend to agree, but these Li-Poly ones get very good reviews. Some people say they last longer than standard 9vs Also - looked at that link, that's exactly what I want. I take it they don't have a shopping cart or anything? Or even any prices listed on the site? Crikey. Oh well, I'll just pop them an email
21. Okay, so the wireless I have is great and all, but the transmitter eats through 9v batteries. So I'm going to go rechargable. I've been advised that the best kind to buy are 9.6v Li-Poly ones, which I would buy a couple of and use in rotation. So many batteries around the internet that I don't really know which ones would be good ones to go for? :/
22. We use Senneiser mics. I forget the exact name. But they're 58-a-likes. Weren't too expensive - got them bundled with mic stands and leads too. They have a lot more in the top end than the 58, which some soundguys don't dig, but they serve us well
23. This was sold today. It has gone to an incredibly good home with Dan. Great guy
24. Ey up - expanding my rack to a 4U, so don't need this 3U anymore. It has got a few knocks and scratches, but that is what it is for! All superficial. Depth of 14.5 inches I think, with a total depth including the lid space going to 17.5 inches. Nothing really wrong with it, so call it £40 plus postage? Make me an offer though
