1. I find they mess with my distortion sounds horribly, and I find my tone has more balls with it turned off. I just don't like the things.
2. If I hadn't just spent all my money, I'd be interested in taking a punt on the Animato :/
3.
You've no idea how many people are interested in this.
No worries. I'd be happy to pay full whack for another - just be nice to pick one up cheaper. I love mine. And I don't find its lacking in bottom end at all really.
4. Depending on finances when (if) you sell this, I might be able to help you provide the Schroeder with a home ;p
5. Will this drive a poweramp on it's own? Out of interest.
6. I'd like to hear how they sound, but they're friggin' massive.

I love my 1212L. Don't worry about it sounding polite. Mine just sounds brutal. Wahey ^_^
8. Yeah, likewise really. When I can afford, it a big fat PT will be mine ^_^
9. I have something that does this job which Red Onion made up for me - Has 2 LEDs to show which input is engaged, and I use it as the first thing on my pedalboard to switch between my wireless (for shows) and my normal lead (for practices). Just stops me plugging in and unplugging my wireless all the time. So yeah, neat bit of kit
10. I'd be interested to see a build diary even if it doesn't turn out how you want. A hardwired pedalboard is something I fully intend to build at some point in the future to replace my Diago with. But I am absolutely hamfisted when it comes to woodworking/electronics, so I'll need all the help I can get!
11. Okay, so this is the first time we've really ventured out of our hometown of Sheffield, so we're not expecting much from most of these gigs, but it'd be nice to meet some of you if you can make it down! Can't miss me, I'm playing a Shuker 7 string bass. We're doing this as a bit of a push for the CD we just recorded. Anyway, its our first venture out of our fair city, so we're staying fairly local-ish. We're staying in the North of England for now, but we have plans to go all over the place later in the year Expect some stompin' alternative rock, basically! If that's your thing, or you're just curious/friendly, then show your face You can check our tunes out at www.myspace.com/maeslostempire The dates are: 16 Jan 2009 The Civic - Mexborough 17 Jan 2009 The Lamplighter - Cheadle 19 Jan 2009 The Shed - Leicester 23 Jan 2009 The Grapes - Sheffield 5 Feb 2009 The Pulse Bar - Barnsley 22 Feb 2009 Sheffield Hallam University (HUBS) - Sheffield 25 Feb 2009 The Dry Bar - Manchester 4 Mar 2009 Black Market - Warsop 7 Mar 2009 TBC - Nottingham 21 Mar 2009 The Adelphi Rock Bar - Accrington 27 Mar 2009 Royal Park Cellars - Leeds 28 Mar 2009 The Number 10 Bar - Rotherham 1 Apr 2009 Sharkeys - Hull Ta ducks
12. I really want one of these - sold the one I had for a Whammy pedal. But I miss the thing. Just can't justify it at the moment when I need more amp stuff
13. I have to say I've never had any problem with extra weight or size issues on any of the 7s I've owned, and my Shuker especially feels very sturdy at the headstock - I would find it hard to imagine it snapping from tension after taking a knock. I'm assuming the headstocks on my bass and Doodle are a similar construction here though!

Muse Bass Sound

I always thought it was doubled by a synthesiser. But I never really listened that hard.
15. It runs off, batteries, no? It will take a DC current, despite what it says.
16. Basically, you should never have to worry about not having enough juice from a powerstation, unless you are running some SERIOUS pedal rig. My mA draw is far more than what you are proposing, and it all works fine. Just get daisychains which are long enough for you, get the right connectors if any of your pedals (like the DL4) need them, and tape up the ends you aren't using with electrical tape. Plug it all in and you'll be fine
17. The Diago power supply supplies 3000mA.
Hey guys, I wanted to finish the board before I posted it, but I have some issues. Here is is on my crappy camera-phone: I'm currently running the TU-2, OC-2, Mammoth, and LS-2 off the Diago PowerStation. Problem is, power is still taking up about a third of my board. I've done the maths and if I buy connectors for the Moog and DL4 to power everything of the Diago, the current draw is 450ma (the DL4 takes 250 ma on its own). The Diago allows for 300ma. Do I buy another, jig around so they balance up, and lose the 4-way and the Line 6 power lump, or just lose the 4-way and deal with it? What do you guys do about your power when dealing with high-draw equipment? Dan
I read something about a couple of different types of Animato, and only one of them is 'the one'? I'd be interested though. If you let me know on price, I'd like first dibsies?
19. Likewise.
would i immaculate myself by saying id need a small?
Emasculate?

AMT Slap Bass

I'd be interested to try it, but it doesn't sound like anything my Cream Pie doesn't already do for a similar second hand price, and its a bigger pedal on a crowded board. I guess we won't know unless someone buys one ;p

I believe he was running a Peavey Bandit for his dirty channel on Muscle Museum. You can find articles about his Showbiz era setup on the internet - doesn't explain it in its entirety, but it mentions a few of the pedals he was sticking in to dirty things up too.
22. That Boss loop station that can record a few different loops? Not sure if it can store them to memory though.

Agreed - Showbiz has some awesome tones, but ask about Chris' tone, even from that era, and people will always assume you mean the Hysteria tone for some reason ¬_¬
I prefer his earlier sounds. You can find out all about them as the set up was rather more simple!
His sound is MUCH more complicated than just a Big Muff. I wish I knew where to start That wiki is the best Chris-resource I've seen, but I haven't seen anything that actually goes into his signal chain etc in any kind of detail. I'd like that.
