Yeah, same story as me. I was expecting it first week in November though

Well I went in and he phoned up the Hercules distributor and asked if they had any stands that would fit my bass. The guy said no. So it wasn't for a specific stand, but ALL their stands. I would be happy to be proved wrong though!

I asked in Soundcontrol and apparently my Conklin wouldn't fit in a Hercules stand. If you find that it does, or find another solution, then let me know!

Also still waiting ¬_¬ I think I'm going to run it as a preamp into my poweramp, rather than the initial plan for a distortion pedal though.

The VBA400 is a good'un, and I wouldn;t mind giving that Lemmy sig head a bash. Not combos though.

Yeah, Newtone were kind enough to send a replacement free of charge (so kudos points to Newtone! ), but the same thing happened. I need to get round to doing something about it, but for now I have just slung on a string that I know won't snap.

You will have to let me play it when it is done if you are getting the fanned frets. I expressed an interest in that with Jon too, he said although he hadn't done it before, it shouldn't be too hard. I'm very intrigued

In the past I've use a .22 from Conklin, a couple of different .25s and the unwound Roto .20. None of them have had problems except the 25 I got from Newtone.

I find that they are excellent strings from my experience, but the high F on my 7 string ALWAYS snaps before reaching tension :/ I have a Roto F on at the moment because I know it doesn't snap... Overwater are next on my list to try for 7 string sets. But yes, excellent service at any rate

bass_ferret - there are plenty of ways to power it Just looking for the BEST one I don't know anybody claiming that it is the best preamp ever either D: Haven't even tried mine yet! Silent Fly - That is pasted directly from Aguilar's email. I have no reason to doubt them on that. Diago said to me independently of that that they reckoned the 30 mA from the 18v adapter would power most OD/preamp units. So I guess between the two of them they must be about right ;p

Tundra is one of my alltime favourite songs by him. With decent speakers, that sub drop a couple of minutes in is mind bendingly good. Its his stuff with the slappy bass guitar I like least.

Yes, I'd rather not spend £50 when I can spend £10 either, but if it does prove to be a more effective solution, I'd go with it. If you can measure the current though, that would be awfully swell! EDIT: After Diago's lengthy disclaimer about using non-Aguilar power supplies, I got told this at the bottom of the email reply: Electrical: 18V 20 mA So there we have it Diago's voltage pump is supposed to provide 30 mA at 18V, so I think we have a winner!
