1. Just for the curious, it looks like a Samson power conditioner, Axe FX Ultra, and the mystery box is I think a Rocktron stereo power amp, I think it's the 150W per side Velocity one.
2. For anyone interested, I found all of the bass and drum only tracks for Glassjaw's Worship and Tribute album. Massively cool to me, I'm sure some other people will like it too! 3. Think I always just ripped it off as best I could with brute force, and then scraped any residue off with something scrapey and WD-40.
4. Commonly, the soft side goes on the board, and the hook side goes on the pedals. Personally, I remove rubber feet. If they have screws in them holding the pedal together, just screw the screw back in without the rubber foot. Velcro will stick much better on pedals like Boss ones if you remove the rubber backing, yes. Although I think with Boss ones, you MIGHT be able to just flip the back plate round and still have it all screw back together if you don't want to remove the rubber. Don't quote me on that though.
5. I looked at my GT200 and 6x10 again today and couldn't help but grin ^_^

Might also be worth downloading a few VST compressors and using them with your bass on a computer to see what a fully featured one will actually do?

9. Best bet is to go look for Catlinbread's videos on youtube. They have half a dozen of it or something, and they're pretty faithful. I'm not sure what I'd compare it to in all fairness, so it's probably best to just see what your ears say

Do you need a compressor? No. I've played tons of gigs without one. And I'm sure many people here have too. Probably a whole load of 'pros' to boot. Will it be beneficial though? Yeah, if you set it up well. I think a lot of people buy a cheap pedal compressor and go off compression because it just super squeezes their sound. A lot of pedal compressors will act as an effect, but a 2 knob pedal will never be as tweakable as something with proper gain reduction meters, and dedicated threshold/ratio etc controls. It's only since I've been fooling around with home recording, and hearing the difference that some compression VSTs can make to how good the bass sounds in a mix that I've started taking compression seriously though. There's no reason why a lot of the stuff you can learn about the mix of a recorded song can't apply live. I'm now able to give soundguys a consistent and clean high passed, compressed, limited and noise gated signal What's not to like? Proper rack compressor is the best move I've made for my live sound in a long time.

14.
lol was a quick replacement B, which wasnt tapered so doesnt exactly fit need to order myself a nice new fullset cant wait to hear how the pups and preamp react with new strings either
Just noticed your band is 96/4. I know the guy who used to play bass for them - you ever spoken to him? He's a Conklin man too, and a cool guy
15. Your B string situation looks familiar from my days of owning Conklins
16. I thought it was a competition to WIN a Darkglass pedal? He doesn't mention using one.
17. £115 posted recorded. In the old colour scheme (blue with white knobs). No trades, bank transfer only. I can post quickly! Let me know! NOW SOLD
18.
Does it come from USA? If so then there's always the question of whether you're going to be charged extra ££££ for customs / handling...
It does. That doesn't make it difficult to get hold of though, it just means it costs you a bit more.
19. How's the Thumpinator treating you Si? Incidentally, I'm running a Pod HD500 with a Sansamp in the FX loop straight to a power amp atm, and it's probably one of the best bass tones I've ever had. Kinda weird setup for me D:
20.
I'd be keen to hear some first hand experience of how it does with low notes.
Perfectly. Absolutely perfectly. I would never ever ever willingly go back to my DT-10, and still have it on my board even though my Pod has an inbuilt tuner (which sucks at low B unless you use a 12th fret harmonic). And they're not difficult to get hold of here. You just buy it direct from Sonic Research with Paypal, and it turns up at your house a few days later. I don't understand how that's hard. Unless people mean you can't get it in shops?
21. It did introduce a little bit of noise when I played with it. It would probably be gated out pretty easily though, if you were so inclined. I'm finding the noise gate in my Pod to be pretty much amazing at getting rid of that kind of noise right now, but I'm imagining most people won't be using a pod into their Matamp.

Is the Xerograph and EP-2 a good contender for the Moog LPF then? Looks interesting. I had the Oxide for a bit, but I decided I probably wasn't going to use it for... anything, so I shifted it along, even though it sounded pretty cool. Preferred my ungated fuzz for Big synthy octave pedal tones though I think.
23. If you decide to get rid of them, shoot me a line about a transmitter. I have a working receiver, but my transmitter got nicked at a gig a while ago
