1. Stereo Memory Man love ++ Lot of pedals for a board that size! I think my feet would find a way to fudge that up pretty quick, I need more space between pedals! As for my tone fix, I don't think I'll be able to do it now. I tried out an Aguilar AGRO preamp at practice and it was total distorted brutality, but it wasn't mine, and you just can't get them in England. Don't fancy stumping up for a new one imported from America at that price Back to the drawing board!
2. Move like a BAMF, and don't make mistakes ;p Or just make them with a straight face
3. I have noticed that a lot of the time when people say grit, they seem to mean a slightly fuzzy, woolly sound on top of their clean sound, that ultimately leaves me completely underwhelmed. The low gain stuff just sounds very womanly on everything I've tried! I *may* have found a non-pedal solution for this actually anyway, so we shall see! Either way, brutal 'clean' tone ahoy ^_^
4. Top top lad. Not bought anything specifically, but he's lent me a preamp for the past week out of the kindness of his heart and I thank him sincerely for it!
5.
Are you thinking that you will have a little bit of dry and a lot of the hyperpak for full on distortion, and a lot of dry and a little hyperpak for low gain grit? I don't think this will work! You would be better off modding the dirt pedal so that you can control the gain with an exp pedal.
Pretty much. I'd like to go from about 100% wet to about 80/20% dry/wet. I don't want to just control the amount of gain though, as I really just want it to be a little layer of distortion peeking past the clean sound. I'm open to suggestions on it, but every low gain distortion I've tried just hasn't sounded right. I bought an ODB-3 for like £20 to see if I could get some good sounds from it too, and it just doesn't do it for me. Considering I also want to be able to switch from grit to full on distortion in one stomp, I would rather not go down the route of having a separate pedal for each function. It isn't high priority - its one of the last things I want to do to my board, but I do want to get it right! Like I say, open to suggestions
6. Well I'm rejigging my pedalboard at the moment. I've always had my octave after my distortion just because I never really experimented with it, and it makes such a difference running the octave first o_O Synth-tastic. Anyway, quite a few little neat fixes and stuff (for me) going on, so I'm taking my time doing it all up, and I'm still missing a few pedals. Howeverrrr... I'm looking at getting a VFB-X or a modded VFB-jr (pedalboard space is at a premium, especially if I'm adding an expression pedal to control the blend) from Barge Concepts so I can use my Catalinbread Hyperpak for anything from full on distortion to a bit of grit. Anyone had any experience with doing that with the expression pedal? And are there any expression pedals I can set to have a minimum value so that the off/down position isn't fully dry signal? I'll probably shoot Barge Concepts themselves the same question. I have an ODB-3, but I don't really get along with it to be honest, even at some very low gain, mostly dry settings. If I can find a better solution, I will! When I've finished it, I'll take a photo. Its nothing to rival Tayste's new board, but I like it If anyone has any George L's jacks they're selling, I'd be happy to take them off your hands And another daisychain probably wouldn't go amiss!
7. memememe ^_^
8. Electro Music in Doncaster are very good and professional. And Nightingale Audio in Sheffield are also very quick, reliable and friendly. I've heard (and had) very mixed responses about Pete Hartley on London Rd. So if you use him, just be aware of that I suppose.
9. My ampeg pre has the limit light flashing on just about every note I hit, even with the gain knob pretty much all the way down. I tame the signal with the master volume and the power amp volume knob, so I've never had sound issues from it. I haven't broken it yet. Don't worry about it. If it clips, big deal. If it clips and *sounds bad* then you might need to address it.
10. BUMP. Still looking for a new rack case. I think an SKB shallow would be too small, but (can anyone correct me on this?) I think a Gator 3u shallow will fit my QSC PLX1202 in it. Something along those lines. The Samson power conditioner is now sold, however.
11.
getting food and sitting and chatting.
You say that like its a bad thing. I enjoy my practices, and I enjoy seeing people at them. Our practices are social times as much as LETS PLAY MUSIC THIS IS MY SRS FACE occasions. That said, we do 3 hours a week at the moment, but I'd like to do more.
12. Been seen before, and I still need better pics, as I maintain that these slightly fuzzy cameraphone shots do the thing no justice, but here you go My Shuker Neck-thru Elite 7
13. If you move around a lot, these straps aren't so cool. I bought one, used it at one practice, and it has sat in a box ever since. My Levy's leather one is getting more use, even though it isn't as comfortable, just because it doesn't have an elastic effect, and bungee the bass back into my face!

Loopers...

I'd like to try one - might replace my DL4 if it is good!
15. BUMP for the Wasabi. Need to sell it.
16. OG has it about right. Used to play Them Bones at college, and we just let the drums play through the 7/8 beat a few times before coming in with everything. And you don't have to play it in drop Db, just because the original is in that. It can be done in Drop D, as long as everyone is aware that you're transposing it up a semitone. Might get round changing guitars as well.
17. Such good price... Can't possibly justify it
18. Weeeellll... I think this one is going to wait until we've at least actually released our EP and stuff, but it is definitely food for thought!
19. Can you give me the internal depth of the unit? Not including the clip-on ends? Cheers
20. Yeah, I always plan on waiting until my band gets a bigger, so I actually have a grain of truth to expand upon and exaggerate! I can big myself up all I want, but at the end of the day, it isn't hard to do some research into me!
21. I still don't really know at what stage you 'qualify' for an endorsement... I'd love a string endorsement from Overwater or something, but I know I'm not high profile enough to warrant it. Am I? Amp endorsements aren't as high on my list anyway.
22. I can't order strings online from Overwater.co.uk... Anyone else finding this? I tried dropping an email to let them know about it, but that doesn't seem to be working either! I can just phone them if all else fails, but it'd be nice to know I'm not the only one finding this!
23. Think I've got it already, sorry!
24. Limp Bizkit. Any and all of their stuff.
25. They save a huge amount of space on pedalboards, and you can wire them to any length (also, when it comes to rewiring your pedalboard and needing some different lengths, the cable is cheap enough to just pull out and put new stuff in). I wouldn't use it for anything more than the protected pedalboard environment, but yes, I like them a lot
Ok, i know OBBM's are the greatest in the world etc and i have a few but was just given a George L patch lead. Its very thin but i do like the look of it. Just wondering what the score is with these leads.
