1. I think Trujillo (look at his credits) actually helped swing Metallica back towards their 80s roots which they are apparently exploring on Death Magnetic. But that is speculation on my part ;p
2. No, I think it is just wrongly described as an NV-3?
3. Isn't the first ERB a 5 string? Rather than 6+? And do extra frets count as ERB? If so... how many? Because then a 4 string can be an ERB D: And no, it isn't on topic ;p I can't think of any bassists with negative effects that haven't been mentioned off the top of my head to be honest :/
4. Man, I could so take the Lightning Bolt and Primus ones off you, but I really need to curb my spending Good luck shifting it all
5. Truth, 130 is a steal!
6. Its only overkill if you don't use it all.
7. What no tuner? I never really understood the impedance thing with those EB volume pedals :/ They didn't sound any different to me. It is very nice looking though - I r jealous!
8. I've always found that my wireless made everything a TINY (and I mean tiny) bit brighter and livelier than with a cable. Whether that's good or bad, I'm not really sure... Certainly worth it live at any rate! Even if you don't move around that much, the fact you can turn a full circle with no worries, not get tangled with anyone else, and not stand on the lead, pulling it out of the bass or amp, or tripping yourself over is priceless.
9. I think our guitarist has one actually. I'll give it a tinkle later. Though I could just as easily get a DD5 with external switch for the same purpose. I wonder how they compare!
10. YMMV then I guess!
11. Not looking for anything that expensive I like my effects, and believe in getting good quality ones where possible, but you have to draw a line somewhere I've not really liked the Echo Park when I've tried it before, and the tap tempo isn't really that convenient to use IMO.
12. Hmm. Not too long. Like I say, warm and natural sounding, so not an artificially long delay. I definitely don't need this 3 second delay or whatever, but it is nice to have the choice
13. GTBD-7. I don't own it anymore though.
?? I have a Conklin and I feed it duracells or procells. What model is yours?
14. Okay, so here's the story. Need a good delay pedal. I've already got a DD3, but this isn't good as a normal delay, its too hard to get it to sound right without a tap tempo. So it is basically used for making noises. I also have a DL4, but this is always kept in loop mode. I use it for looping with the half speed/reverse settings and with the play once feature, so I can't really use a different looper and use the DL4 for delays. So I basically want a new delay pedal. What's the best one? I was looking at... Boss DD-5 - One's come up cheapish with an external switch, and I'm tempted by it. EHX Stereo Memory Man - Looks pretty good and has a tap tempo Subdecay Echobox - Like the sound of it, but I can't get along with not having a tap tempo I don't think Akai Headrush - This would give me more possibilities for looping (I get the feeling that it is better for looping than the DL4, if I didn't use the DL4's play once setting etc), but I don't know if the delays on it are good enough to buy it as a dedicated delay unit Line 6 DL4 - could get a second one... I'm not too fussed about footprint, but these things ARE big, and I don't need all the extra stuff it has on it - I just want one good delay sound. Expensive too. So yeah... any ideas? I really want something in a metal case ideally, with a tap tempo switch (none of this DD6 'hold down to initiate tap tempo mode' rubbish), true bypass would be nice. Like I say, not too fussed about footprint. Warm and natural sounding is a plus. And price IS an issue. I don't have a set budget, but I'll want to keep the price as low as is reasonably possible. Ta ducks
15. Really like GH2. Wanted GH3 really badly, and finally got to play it the other night. But it bored me. I thinkt he novelty has worn off. Especially as they're making songs harder, meaning I fail more. As a gamer, I demand instant gratification! Rock band though, is genius. Not because it makes you feel like you're playing in a real band, but because it is just great fun when theres about 5 or 6 of you.
16. Yes, it is useful for pick players. Just evens out inconsistencies. It is a necessary process in all recordings really, and it can be just as useful live.
17. Very tempted by the Soul Provider - would like a good synthy fuzz sound. I reckon it'll be gone before I scrape together some money though

ME50B question

Not a practical solution if you want to go from A5 to A9 seamlessly though. Sorry I can't be more helpful in the matter besides that
20. I followed OG's instructions and got there fine. It made me lol a bit "Now we'll put the electronics in" as she haphazardly throws a bunch of wires into the cavity, heh.
21. The Rhino covering on my Schroeder cab looks as though it should stand up to the rigours of gigging pretty well. Doesn't look as good as carpet though.
22. In an ideal world, I would say balls to lightweight stuff. I'd love a massive heavy cab with a fat, fat heavy valve head. I've had a heavy cab and head setup for about two years, and while I could carry on with it, I've downsized for sheer convenience. It is me lugging it up and down steps, into and out of venues and cars, so I'd rather not feel like I'm carrying the weight of 5 men around! In the future, I'd like to 'downgrade' to heavier stuff again probably.
23. I did find that Duracells wouldn't fit in my Conklin, and then when I decided I may as well put them to use in my wireless isntead, they had no juice in them! I've been put off Duracells ever since ¬_¬
24. Just kind of need my mind setting at ease. I'm almost sure I'm going to order a 1212L in the next few days. But I'm still not 100% on it. Just need some more reassurance Going to be running an Ampeg pre through it - just want some straight up modern RAWK sounds. Abuse it with a low B, stupid octave effects, silly distortions and high pitched whammy noises. Reckon it'll handle it, and keep throwing the sound out at a good volume?
25. The Ampeg Pre, into a QSC PLX1202. The money from the Marshall is going into a Schroeder 1212L methinks. Just going to have to splash a bit on some new Speakon cables etc. Nearly ready to go though!
