Thanks pretty positive it is standard 38mm jazz neck, although I will double check when I can. The active 3 band is very usable and allows a massive scope. It can get close to an old 60's jazz Bass, and can also get a lot more bottom, more back pickup burp and the front one its own gives you a huge p bass sound.

Up for sale is my custom built jazz bass. This was put together by members on this site. Lovely sounding and looking jazz. Spalted maple top Mahogany body Flame maple neck with F***** decal Wilkinson black/brass bridge MEC p/ups, Copper shielded cavity Carvin active-passive (vol-pull) circuit Hipshot D-tuner Possiblyou trade for a precision or 5 string. No case for this just gigbag so collection from Essex area preferred. http://imgur.com/a/5Xwl9

Sterling by Musicman SB14 bass. Excellent condition (aside from a piece of tape helping to hold the battery cover in place) Sunburst with matching headstock and white pearl pickguard. Great sounding and built bass with a fantastic fast neck. In need of a 5 string so open to trades. Collection from Chelmsford preferred but postage is an option. http://imgur.com/a/s5HL9

Up for sale is my 2009 Warwick Streamer LX in Burgundy oil. This is pretty much in mint condition; I can’t find a scratch on it. Great bass with typical Warwick growl, and a very fast 38mm jazz like neck. I really like this but something else has come up, should it go I may withdraw it. Comes with Warwick rockbag, collection from Essex area preferred, but postage can be discussed. The pictures make it look a bit pinker than it is, it is more red in the flesh. http://imgur.com/a/oGhKV

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes I did try all possible options but didn't get rid of the rattle, plus it was just so dead also. Emailed Jason Howe at rotosound got an instant response and had a replacement e string come through the door the next day which I fitted, and rattle cured!

Thanks all that's very helpful I will drop them an email.

Just put a new set of rotosound stings on a bass and the e string is buzzing somewhere and seems a lot more dead compared to the others. Changed it for an old string but that was fine. Put the new one back on and it is still buzzing which leads me to believe it is the string. Do you get dud strings straight out the packet?

Brilliant deal with Tonci, really good communication and help. Bass was excellent and 100% as described. I was a bit nervous about an international trade deal but it went perfectly. Many thanks tonci

For sale or trade is my fender mexican precision 2011 with several upgrades (so I was informed of when I purchased it). Fender US vintage pickup Cloth wiring Orange drop capacity Cts pots Slotted bridge for adjustable string spacing Replacement tort pickguard Straplocks Not sure of the colour but has a lovely sparkle to it. In very good condition only marks to note are screw holes where ash trays were fitted to it before my time. Great sounding and light bass only selling as I suit jazz basses better and it is gathering dust. Currently fitted with fairly new d'addario chromes plus comes in a very good condition fender tweed case and fender strap. http://imgur.com/a/YfmSs I would be open to trades and could add money to the right bass, I am mainly interested in jazz basses, warwicks.

Thanks for your opinion I was thinking the same. Been thinking of the 2 X 12 option for a while and thomann are selling these ridiculously cheap at the moment if you can wait 6 weeks for delivery.

I'm thinking of going for 2 Tc electronics rs112's to use with a mark bass little mark 2, but I noticed they are only 200 watts each, and the tc website suggests using a combination of 3 cabs for a 500ish watt head. Does anyone use a couple of these, and if so do they cope with the head and would they be loud enough to use in a loud function band?
