Terrible basses, just terrible. Look awful with their straight through necks and perfectly crafted fancy wood work. And the sound, well, just far too many options with two massive pickups, a piezo, 35 inch neck, active electronics etc. And I'd know I own one!... Of course, Id be willing to put all that aside and acquire a 2nd in this colour for the right price. Check your PMs ;-)
I had one of these. It was a great bass. I only sold it as I found the 35" scale a bit big for my small hands I didn't have any issues with the weight. Good luck with the sale.
Sorry for the thread hijack (on the plus side you do get a free bump!) but I've got question about the scale difference. I've seen quite a few people on the forums comment about how the 35" scale is too big for them etc and with this being my first non-34" base I was genuinely concerned about how I would find the transition, particularly as I planned to use my other bases for practices and only wheel this one out for the more 'upmarktet' gigs where I wouldn't risk damaging one of these incredible bases. Turns out I can't tell the difference whatsoever and in reasoning it I figured it is one extra inch, 25.4 millimetre, which spread across 24 frets and the pickups is less than a millimetre difference per fret! How do people notice such tiny tolerances or am I missing something? p.s. please don't take this as me having a go at those that don't get along with 35" scale bases, I'm genuinely just curious (and hopefully for the OP, putting some potential buyers minds at rest that some really cant tell the difference!).

I bought the bass (TRB5Pii) that Beedster mentions above off Ed today. He was an absolute gent to deal with and when I expressed interest in the bass, he offered to hold it for me for me (without payment or deposit) for almost 2 months while I was out of the country; if that isn't first class service I don't know what is! Anyway, if you are you looking to buy/sell something off Ed, do so with complete confidence. Thanks Ed, was a pleasure doing business and the bass is a dream to play!

Tell you what would be interesting, doing the whole thing again blind and seeing what bass you thought was which!! I have to agree, I actually really like the sound of the Yamaha; I really like the feel of them too hence depsite having a vintage(ish) Precision and a Bongo my gigging bass is a Yamaha 605 with ultra jazzes and a bartolini preamp!

I went for clear in the end as I wanted them to be as inconspicuous as possible, especially for when I´m using them on public transport and stuff. I quite like how you can see all the drivers crammed in their too which isn't a problem when they are well made and devoid of defects. I´ve seen some that have the first half inch coloured (normally red-left/blue-right) which would help disguise any ear wax a little. If you have any question about potential IEMs then head over to head-fi (pun intended) as a guy called average_joe has done some incredibly indepth reviews of the best Custom IEMS. He was also very forthcoming with advice when I messaged him direct (see here for his reveiw of the ones I bought http://www.head-fi.org/t/579760/dream-earz-aud-5x-custom-iem-review-pure-value-565-also-the-appreciation-thread) Oh, and I've stuck with wired into the IEM mixing desk as I dont need to wander around on stage and just prefer the simplicity of being plugged in. Its also a LOT cheaper!

I was very close to buying a pair of T1s but went for a pair of Aud-5Xs from http://audioearz.com/ I didn't take this decision lightly and put a fair bit of research in to finding the ones that were best for me. After reading a lot of (very positive) reviews on headfi I decided that the wait for the 5 driver 5Xs were worth it, especially as I had the opportunity to get them tax free. Mitch, the guy that does them was really helpful and I happily recommend him. I actually prefer the acrylic to the silicon; I have silicon earplugs for work and they acrylic just slide in and out easier which I prefer. Silicon will give you a little bit more noise isolation but in saying that, Mitch actually fills part of the 5Xs with silicon so that evens things out a bit.
