1. I love this bass Jonny. If I win the lottery this weekend I'll be right down!
2. Thank you :-) It was sold to me as a late 90s Japanese-made RI
3. Up for sale is my Jazz Bass. This instrument comprises of parts painstakingly chosen by myself to shape an instrument to suit my need for a lightweight, 70s-spec, workhorse Jazz bass . It was then put together by my friend and fellow bass player Gil Allan. The maple neck is an original 1977 with white blocks and binding. It was in new condition when I bought it a few years ago, but I've since had the gloss sanded back to a smooth satin finish. Incredibly slim and fast! The lightweight black body is a 70s reissue with a black scratchplate. Lindy Fralin singlecoil pickups. Incredible dynamic range and tones available, with very low noise. Badass II chrome bridge and Fender tuners and control plate. The hardware and body have been lightly relic'd. No bumps or scrapes, just a little bit of the sheen taken off them for authenticity. I have the chrome pickup cover and ebony thumb rest. Both of which I don't use but will supply them with the bass. Wide black leather Minotaur strap with Q-Parts black pearl/chrome Strap Locks. Ritter brown/black Gig Bag. £1000. Pickup preferred but UK delivery can be arranged at reasonable extra cost. No trades, thank you Here's a Photobucket link to more images: http://s1342.photobu...s?sort=3&page=1
4. I'd like to thank and commend Mick for his kindness, generosity and best interests in our collective bass community! I needed an acoustic bass guitar for a one-off gig in London, and he offered me the use of his lovely blue Crafter after seeing my wanted post. Mick and fellow basschat'r friend Lozz took a day out to meet me at the Gallery Cafe venue in Bethnal Green with enough time spare for coffee and acquaintanceship before the band soundcheck. Both these guys were supportive throughout the gig and stayed til well after the evening performance, which was a pleasure for me thanks to them! Cheers from Scotland!!!
5. Ted bought my pair of Aguilar GS112s and made the deal fast and hassle-free. After discovering quite a severe fault in one of them, we've kept in touch to resolve the issue and I must say I have never communicated with another person who is more patient and understanding. Thank you Ted!
6.
The original soundclip I recorded for this pedal is here: https://soundcloud.c...otium/bass-fuzz No EQing, clean bass at the start for comparison
Cheers Protium!
7. I've had a few firm offers already! Fingers crossed something will come of them!
8. Up for sale are my Aguilar GS112 cabs, including one without a tweeter. Both owned since new and are in excellent condition. Aguilar's fitted padded covers included. Spring loaded handles and are very easy to transport. Both 300w at 8ohms and both very capable of single-cab gigs. £445.00 delivered for pair (UK only). I will negotiate a lower price for collection - in Fife, Scotland. I do not wish to split them at present http://s1342.photobu...GS112NT?page=1# I'm sure these cabs need no further introduction. They are just incredible. I wish to move them on while they're still in such good condition and I fancy a change of cab to accompany my Markbass TTE amp. This sale with contribute towards that!
9. Bass arranged! Thank you for all your generous offers of lovely acoustic basses. I'm touched
10. Guys - you're both gentlemen. Thank you! I'll PM my mobile and email details if that's ok and we can keep in touch. I still don't yet know when my flight gets in so I may be pushed for time to go anywhere but the Bethnal Green on arrival. And yes, the Kala bass would have been an incredible option. Sadly, I'll only have handbaggage with me so that would have meant checking in a tiny Kala-sized flightcase
11. It's for a soundcheck & gig with Linn Records-signed songwriter Amy Duncan at The Gallery Cafe, Bethnal Green on Saturday 4th May. It's a tall request I know!!! I'm based in Scotland, where my Washburn AB35 will be, but I have a Stiltskin show in Poland on Friday 3rd and I'll be flying straight from Poland to London on the 4th. It can be a 4 or 5 string, any brand. I use some foam just to dampen the strings at the bridge. I will give 2 tickets for the gig and buy a drink for you Here's a link to one of Amy's great songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4DiRCIYtzM
12. It's a fantastic player's bass. Have a bump John!
13. Now with photobucket link!
