1. OK OK. I finish work in a couple of hours and will take a couple of piccies then
2. I've just had one of my two Patrick Eggle Milan V's painted metallic lime green (it was originally plain wood finish. Then Andyjr stained it green and finished it in danish oil but when I saw the metallic lime I had to have that, so it was primed, painted and lacquered (as thin as it could be done) and looks extremely 'lush'. Go for it.
3. Hoping I can still make it but there is a ? Whether I can now
4. I'm the same with anything Fender shaped. I've tried various versions from cheapo to bl**dy expensive. I just can't get along with any of them. horses for courses
5. Just bought a 5 string bass and these were fitted. They have been cut for a 3 + 2 headstock (but obviously will work on a 4 string bass in a 2 + 2 configuration or 3 + 1 with a low B). They look to be in perfect condition and the silks haven't got any fraying at all. If you like the old school flats thump sound then save yourself £50 (strings direct has them going for £85).
6. Hoping to come along with my 5 string DB - Can someone can show me how to play the bl**dy thing

5 String Advice?

Totally agree. I play 5's now and spend most of my time around the 5th - 8th fret. Makes life so much easier.
8. Yes, I'm trying to find this out too
9. Hi Jeff So sorry, it's just gone. I was about to post that it had been sold. All the best John
10. I was at the South of England Show and mercury custom fitted ear plugs were there (I've seen them elsewhere too). £110 custom fitted -I had 17db filter, but you can change that anytime you want for another £15 (or £25 - I can't remember). I wear them all the time now. I had flare audio but they cut out all the guitarist (I know, usually a good thing, but not when you can't hear them at all). The best £110 I've spent in ages
11.
If you're like me some of the song titles on the set list won't mean a thing to you so jot down what key the songs are in so you come in on the right note.. don't forget your ear plugs.
THIS.
12. Just bought Tom's iphone. Great communication and speedy post. Many thanks
13. I bought a hercules for my 5 string and it wouldn't accept the pin fully out, so I had to get the drill out and adapt it. OK, I'm tall and the pin is fully out, but the bass is standard size so I was slightly disappointed with the stand.
14. I've seen a couple of double bass ebony boards going for sale on eBay for less than £100. Would it be worth looking at getting one of them fitted?
15.
I probably would but I am simply unable to do it - I've tried.
This
16. Just bought a camera from Mike. Great communication and speedy posting. Great guy
17.
Just tried to weight the green one on the kitchen scales and around 8 1/2 ib They both feel about the same weight
Many thanks. Got to sell a bass first but love that green one.
18. How much do they weigh? Thanks
19. Welcome from someone with dual UK/Aus nationality (we still can't decide if we want to move to Aus or stay here in the UK. Think we've probably left it too long now, but my god mother is in East Malvern, Melbourne, so I'll be near your neck of the woods when we visit next year). Hopefully you'll get everything you need, and a whole lot you don't, from here
20. I do have a set of active EMG's and all the pots that would fit in this if you wanted it active bump.
21. I had a brand new Rumble 500 that lasted less than 5 minutes before it stopped working. Straight back to GAK and had a full refund.
