    I bought this new from Simon Farmer at GUS after I'd seen it featured in Bass Guitar Magazine. I basically fell in love with it on first sight. It looks stunning, plays beautifully (never been gigged though so is as new with hiscox hard case and a copy of the magazine) but a combination of a house move and a downturn in income means it has to go (I've 2 GUS G1's for sale too at least £1500 less than new)). Simon is looking after all the guitars for me so you can either contact me or him direct at www.gusguitars.com if you have any specific questions (he can tell you far more than me about them).     1962 Hagstrom Futurama (also sold as a Kent or Selmer) for sale. Absolutely perfect condition. New bronze frets (as original) rewired and a great bass. £499. Look it up on ebay.

    Yes its the cream one. I've played it. Exquisite. I'm in the process of house selling and have told Simon Farmer that if its still for sale when I've got some cash left after the sale its mine. I'd then get him to defret my white one so I've then got one of each.

    [attachment=45607:CIMG6572.JPG]I own this white GUS G3 bass and have played the one on the cover of this months Bass Guitar Magazine (the cream one). I also own 3 GUS guitars. Having played pretty much everything from bog standard to custom shop guitars and basses I wouldn't play anything but a GUS again. They are extremely comfortable, sound wonderful, look great (OK its a Marmite thing but everyone who see's one in the flesh loves them). They also don't cost more than Custom shop copies of 50 year old designs.

    I've got 3 G1 GUS guitars and a GUS G3 Bass (the white one in the pictures above actually) and after 30 years of playing pretty much everything from bog standard up to custom shop stuff in both guitars and basses I would never go back to playing any of them ever again. GUS's cost more, but not that much more than a lot of rehashes of a 50 year old design that wasn't that great to start with.

    Just thought I'd show my GUS G3 Bass. I've been after one of these for ages but couldn't afford a new one (£5-6K) but like my GUS guitars (and G1 vibrato and a G1 hardtail) I eventually tracked one being sold off at half price. Its a 2001 model, white with metallic blue flake mixed in and LED's in the position markers. Custom made in England. Doesn't get much better than that.

    Slightly more custom made, expensive and exclusive than a cheap old Dano. Also hand made here in Heathfield, East Sussex, so supporting local industry.
