4. Oops, yes moderator can you please delete three of the 4 ads. There was no intention to insert 4. I just went back into my ad several times to fine tune the wording. For some reason each time it's obviously re-entered the ad. Thanks..sorry
5. Trace Elliot 2x10" 200W (2x100W) cab with tweeter AND Trace 1x15 200W cab. The cabs are 8 ohms each. The cabs have been carefully cut to remove the amplifier section (by me) purposely to reduce weight, and coverings put back to a fair standard. 9. Have a bump on me Sean
10. Yea, I've gone the AndyTravis way for good...I think. Amps: In the past couple of years I've bought and sold 3 X TH500s, RH450' and RH750 'something' wasn't feeling quite right for me with this 'Digital' amplification, so... I'm back on TRACE SMX250 and 300 with the beautiful original 150GP11 as a backup - all with transformers and circuitry that I can see. However, I think the original 250 GP11 does take the piss with weight. Tried also (for the first time in my life I bought new) The Markbass 2x10 combo with matching 2x10 extn cab. Reading the bull and sounding great IN THE SHOP I couldn't wait to kick off on the night...aahhhh, hated it. Speakers: I tried also the Vanderkley two 1x12s then went on to a Van 1x15, I thought these were the ultimate but na, sold these. So that's the Markbass and Vanderkley Neos. Tried Celestion Neos, na. The Tc Electronic Eminence speakers were very good but I had a problem with one of the tweeters which are piggy-backed/screwed onto the top speaker of each cab. This was jaunted in transit somewhere and pulled on the speaker creating a minute bend in the chassis/frame I.e not flat anymore so it made the cone rub. My existing cabs are Trace compact 1x15 and 2x10. They were both combos but I cut the heads off! This gives me the shallower depth of cab of about 13" which makes them more manageable to slip into the car. The 17" deep compact are too much handling for me. In the next couple of weeks Ill be getting a Barefaced 15 to replace the Trace 15 but still might continue struggling with the Trace 2x10 traditional speakers for the top cab. The Barefaced is more sensitive so probably will be louder and I may even grit my teeth with the Neo but I'm prepared for this.
11. What's the external measurement of the smallest side when closed - or the thickness or depth if you like? Thanks
12. I've got an Ibanez Roadster 1981 single Dimarzio pickup as Precision if you're interested, although it is 32" nut to bridge. With original Ibanez hard case. All in excellent con. Ruby stain as Gibson SG with maple neck.
13. Hi, Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like the screws are out of the scratchplate. If so, did you get a picture of what's under there please, it would also help with the sale. Cheers Geoff..JV Fanatic
14. Anybody sell me one to fit a TE SMX300 head?
15. Morning brainsbrew' well spotted the un-deliberate mistake! Weight is 4 KG and NOT 2 bags of sugar!
16. Sorry, I just had to look in my trash bin. I still have the pictures of this one I sold to you 7 weeks ago. Doesn't time fly?! GLWTS Geoff
17. Oh, sorry I thought it was my old one I sold you.
18. Has this one been re-fretted? Thanks Geoff
19. Up for sale is a stunning early 80's JV (Japanese Vintage) Precision bass. These are the famous early generation Squiers that came out of Japan between 1982 and 1983. Their quality was superior to the US made versions, especially the Precisions, but at a lesser price. They essentially created serious competition for US Fenders. Now very sought after on the used market. Nut width 42mm. Theres a small chip out of the nut but has no affect on string slot/movement whatsoever. It was refinished some years ago by the original owner. The refinish was done by a luthier possibly Jaydee, using period correct du pont paint. Light playing wear. Frets are good, truss rod fine, nice action and no fret buzz. Neck is slim and fast with rosewood board. At some point a Jazz pickup has been installed - very professional routing. There is no further routing under the pickguard or in the control well. The original pickup was replaced with a Seymour Duncan SPB-1. The original P pickup works and will be included in the sale. The Jazz pickup is a Seymour Duncan SJB-1. The small toggle switch gives neck, neck/bridge, bridge options with the same volume and tone pots. Weight 4kg.
20. Lads' Amp now sold. Thanks all for your interest. Geoff. Trace, you can't beat em.
21. Classic Trace head, probably the best model in my opinion. 250watts of superb power and punch from the tone of the GP11pre amp that gets your cut/projection through the mix. The amp is built like a tank and quite heavy - with a real transformer! Very quiet and works perfect with the exception of the tiny eq and pre amp buttons -they don't push in/out. However the modes can be operated by a footswitch or even pushing in a jack plug in the F/switch jack socket. I've always left it in the graphic mode anyway, you don't really need anything else. If you've got a class D amp, you may bite your lip sometimes wishing you'd gone traditional again because somethings not quite right, however, as you may have paid a fortune for it.... (thats just my opinion)
22. Nothing, I replaced it with the SPB3 because of oversize magnets etc and a higher output. I play in a classic rock band now ACDC Lizzy and all that and this calls for extra woomph. I tried to do it with a Musicman but it didn't work for me. Thanks for your interest
